« It offers a comfortable bed in a nice room with a very good breakfast. I've certainly paid a lot more for much less in other leading chain hotels. A list of restaurants for the town was an unexpected bonus -- quite helpful. The staff was friendly too. I highly recommend the Wingate in Elkins. »

« This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. « This is a newly remodeled hotel. It was very nice and clean. My only complaint is I booked this specific hotel for the pool. When we checked in I asked where the pool was located and was told that the pool still isn't open yet from the renovations. I was very disappointed! »

« The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner. »

« What a treat! Our family had a wonderful stay at Balm of Gilead. A magnificent setting with a stream running right out front and mountain view. We were so comfortable with plenty of room and everything you could imagine you might need. Wonderful area to hike or just sit on the porch and the hot rub was nice too. We hope to return before too long and again next year for the Maple Festival! »
