The property was very spacious and all five of us were able to sit on the couch comfortably!!The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large. Everything was clean when we arrived. Overall we were very pleased!

No smoke detectors anywhere!! Pro’s: The house was the perfect size and layout for our needs. It was fully equipped with everything needed and more. Cleanliness was good. Con’s: the host was selective about which messages were responded to. I ask, in advance of our stay, whether there was a regular coffee maker or a k-cup one. The message was never responded to. Two other messages after that went unanswered. She claims not to have seen them. The following morning we couldn’t get the coffee maker to work. We messaged after downloading directions and trying everything possible. She did answer, and said the cleaning staff always check to see if it was working, but she would send the directions. They were never sent. A big issue was that there weren’t any working smoke detectors. The only place where it looked like one would be was empty with wires hanging out of the ceiling. I messaged her about that and received no answer. Basically, consistent host communication would’ve made all the difference. We will not stay there again.

Overall great stay. Nothing major affected the experience but I would say there are little things around the house that need better attention to detail. Broken dresser pulls, cracked toilet flush handle, broken off towel hanger, cracked shelves in the fridge, microwave handle pulls away if pulled at the bottom, etc. Like I said, nothing that makes the house un liveable but may need some proper maintenance in order to host continued/returned guests. Alarm clocks or clocks in general would be nice for the rooms as well. Our children are all old enough to read a clock but not old enough to have a cell phone. I know most people rely on cell phones but a simple small clock on the night stands maybe appreciated by families of children/preteens

Great stay close to Asheville

We rented this VRBO so that we could accommodate our family. It was a beautiful space that worked perfectly for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the space clean, and everything was accessible.

This property was fine for a weekend. All one level for our elderly parents was perfect and we appreciated the dog friendly allowance. The listing is misleading but that the yard is fenced. The back yard is not usable for pets. Living spaces are small but comfortable but had to rate down for the yard

Great space for families

We booked this property as a last minute getaway and we are so glad we did! It was the perfect space for 4 adults, 3 kids and a dog. The space off the kitchen was a great kid hangout. The beds and the couch were comfortable, the decor was contemporary and clean and the house had all the linens and basic necessities. The only thing we wish it had differently was a grassy fenced in area for the dog and the kids. The owners were quick to respond and we would recommend their property to anyone going for a low key trip.

Beaitiful setting

This cute cottage was a cozy and comfortable place for our sibling reunion. The host immediatley responded to a concern that arose and provided a very satisfactory solution. The beds were comfy and the neighborhood was a lovely quiet spot to relax. We had a delightful time!

Biltmore trip

The house was great. Totally suited our needs. It was clean and very accommodating. The owner was quite helpful and accommodating too. We will definitely book this house again the next time we are in the area.

Decent, but not our finest.

It said no pets, but yet we saw animals bowls, and saw hair from animals. Very itchy as we are almost all allergic. There were toenails on the carpet as I was doing a work out. Main bathroom doesn’t drain well. For paying a high cleaning fee, it didn’t seem that clean. I am a past time cleaner, so maybe I expect more. The check in and out was fine. We liked we each had a room. There was no bar soap, which usually is in all our others. We did bring our own shampoo and conditioner as suggested though.

Overall it was what we needed

Overall we enjoyed having a place to get together and spend family time. Some complaints I have about our stay are the following: 1) The mattress had brown red stains on it as if someone had bled on the mattress. We did not notice it until the last day when we removed the sheets 2) The drain in in the bath did not drain well. 3) The pots and pans in the kitchen were old,dirty and the coating was peeling off. We had to rewash dishes before using any of them. 4) There were spiders and beetles in the added bedroom with twin beds. 5) We arrived after dark and there were no lights on outside or inside the house. 6) We tried to contact the property manager ahead of time to clarify the entry code, but no response was received. I would not stay here again unless some serious changes were made.

Great family gathering!

Everything fine!! Actually just frustrated that we did not have more communication with the owner/property manager during the week prior to our arrival. No problem, but did not know that we would not have any checkin instructions until 24 hours prior to our arrival. For some reason, we did not get communication until about 12 hours prior. House was very nice and roomy.
