Upon check-in we were greeted professionally, but from there our stay at Red Roof Inn Ardmore was extremely disappointing. The first room we were given was filthy—trash on the floor, unmade beds, and a strong smell of smoke. It was also not the suite with kitchenette we had booked. Management moved us to another room, but it smelled of cigarette smoke and marijuana. Traveling with two children, this was completely unacceptable.
I asked about a refund but was told it wouldn’t be processed until after our stay, leaving us with no choice but to buy cleaning supplies ourselves just to make the room usable. Later, we realized we had no clean towels or pillows. The in-room phone was broken, and when supplies were finally delivered, they reeked of smoke and appeared used. The property was noisy and chaotic all night with honking and disturbances, making rest impossible. While we enjoyed our time in Ardmore, this hotel was not clean, safe, or family-friendly. It is misrepresented online, and I strongly urge Expedia to reconsider hosting this property.
