It was a short drive to speedway, nice to be out in the country, the lake and setting was beautiful! We didn’t have time to enjoy the lake, it wound up being a little chilly. Would definitely recommend!

Yearly Fishing Trip
This is our second stay at this property and it was just as inviting as the first time. The house has a great location of the lake for boating and fishing and the hosts are very accommodating.

Thanksgiving Gathering
We rented this great guest house to gather for Thanksgiving Day. The weather was incredible so there was fishing off the private dock, playing in the leaves, and the inside room sat 14 adults (6 at the table, 2 at the bar, and 6 at a fold out table that I brought). One couple spent the night but the rest enjoyed a full day of good food, fun, and family. We hope to do this again in warm weather months to enjoy some water activity. *** Bonus points for seeing a Blue Heron on the dock and a beaver swimming back to his house ***

Great Place On the Water
We stayed a week for a bass tournament and enjoyed our stay. We had a beautiful view from the porch, we were right beside the boat ramp, and even had a gas grill there to cook on every evening. It was clean and very easy to get turned around and park the boat. My only complaint would be that the beds weren’t the most comfortable but they got the job done at least. I would definitely consider staying again in the future.

Talladega Fall Race Weekend
This property worked perfectly for my soon and I for race weekend. At about 45 minutes from the track it was not to far but far enough away from the traffic. I wanted a place on the lake where my son could fish in our spare time. Communication was great and house was clean. We drove 13 hours and were pleased with the description. We didn’t spen a lot of time here as we were busy at the track. Places to eat and gas stations not that far away. We are so thankful for your hospitality. Would definitely stay again.

Peace and Tranquility
My Friend and I were looking for a quiet place to getaway for some R&R! This place was Perfect! The Lakehouse faces a Beautiful view of the lake, plus a dock to fish or just sit and enjoy the scenery! We especially enjoyed watching the Birds coming and going daily as if they lived there! This place is for anyone who loves and enjoy Peace and Tranquility! The Hosts made us feel welcome and right at home! We made the right choice! Highly recommend it and looking forward to staying again in the future!

Wonderful getaway
What an awesome time we had at the lake house at Neely Henry. Everything we needed was there. Our favorite thing to do was sitting on the porch & watching the boats! We ate at Top of the River. It was delicious. We celebrated our 50th anniversary. Loved every minute. We will be back! ❤️

A very nice getaway
The location is great for fishing and swimming. We contacted the owner about a couple of small glitches, and she was very responsive. We ‘d go back and recommend that others do, too. Lake Neely Henry is lovely. Saw great blue heron, egret, turtle and loads of swallows that live under the dock!

Relaxing Weekend with Family
The lake house was directly across from a boat ramp, so we saw lots of beautiful boats. Didn’t catch any fish on the dock, but it was relaxing just sitting there. The house was very clean and had all of the things you’d need to be comfortable and to cook with. Front porch sitting was nice. Would definitely recommend this lake house to anyone with a small group.

Perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing get-away!
The property provided everything, and more, than we retirees were hoping for as we celebrated an anniversary together; and, as I was able to fish to my heart’s content in a quiet, shady area of the lake, while my wife enjoyed the more than ample shaded porch to leisurely read, admire the natural beauty surrounding the clean and well-cared for cottage, and watch me enjoy a passion of mine.

Great Place
Clean, beautiful view, good communication with host. Very quiet. Grocery close in Rainbow City. Fun hiking around nearby falls. We had a great time. Wish we'd had longer to stay and done some fishing! Restful!

Great Fishing Trip

Spring Break
We rented the property to have a couple days during spring break with our grandson. It was the perfect place. We visited Noccalula Falls and spent time together at the beautiful lake house fishing, sitting around the fire pit, and playing a few games. We had a wonderful time. The owners provided everything we needed .

My family decided to attend the fishing expo in Gadsden, AL the weekend of March 10-12. We found this Lakeside cabin nearby and decided it would be an amazing place to spend an extended weekend. We brought our boat. We enjoyed some fishing from the boat and the dock. We enjoyed the expo. The owners were accommodating and very responsive. The house was gorgeous and the view more so. If you are contemplating staying here, do it! Everything was clean and not cluttered. The house was close to restaurants and town. We never knew the owners were on the shared property.

Holiday Family Weekend
We decided to take a trip for Thanksgiving. My husband and I, and our three kiddos enjoyed the property. We loved having access to the fishing/swimming dock. We spent most of our time there. The property was exactly as pictured with everything we needed. We will definitely be back in the summer! Host was super friendly and helpful.

Everything You Need
A wonderful and peaceful location for whatever you have planned. Located directly across from a large boat ramp, this is the perfect place to stay and enjoy the lake. The house had all the amenities needed and the only thing we really had to bring was our things and food for the trip. The owner was easy to communicate with and was flexible on check-in and check-out times as well. Really can't say anything bad about the experience and would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Perfect location for a relaxing weekend
I chose this location based on its lakefront location and it did not disappoint. We had a great time relaxing on the dock on the water while enjoying the perfect spring weather. Mornings with fresh coffee and a swing on the porch; a nice grill and well stocked kitchen for meals; far enough away from towns to feel like you were away but close enough to all the typical amenities you'd need. We had six people in our party and all slept well. My only caution is the beds are full-size, not queen or larger. So if you need a little space while sleeping, you need to either be small or have one person in the bed. There is a pullout sofa which was also very comfortable. Overall, this place is a great option and we will be back if/when we're back in the area! Michele was a great host and we had everything we needed.

The Getaway
Tired of the phone, bad news, the litter-box? Try a couple of days in this peaceful setting... Bright and clean, with everything you need for a a few days of relaxation. Just sitting out on the glider, looking at the calm waters of the lake and seeing a magnificent sunrise is enough to recharge. Michelle was always available to communicate . I appreciated that, and the property is so well maintained and pretty. Thanks for the opportunity to put this at the to of our list .we hope to return i n the Spring when all is i n bloom...There are many places to visit in Rainbow City and even in Ashville, which is nearby, and sweetly decorated for Christmas. But we decided to just stay put and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake.

Very quiet, beautiful view❤️
We had great visit. The owners are very nice. We did have to call them to let them know the box springs were broken on the bed. They were very apologetic, and appreciative that we told them and we're understanding. They made it right with us and are making sure the beds would be taken care of before anyone else stayed . Take time to take in the beautiful mountains and water views!

Relaxing and Beautiful
We did a quick ladies trip for a long weekend. The house was very clean had all the items you could need. The lake view was beautiful and very peaceful. It is right next to the main boat launch for the lake but even so it was very quiet. We three ladies felt very safe at the home and although there was only 1 bedroom with 2 beds the pull out couch was great and accommodated all of us fine. It is within 1 hours driving distance to many interesting attractions and cities if fishing and boating isn't your thing. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Retreat!
This absolutely exceeded our expectations! My son and I were down for our first Nascar Race, at Talladega, and boy are we so thankful we chose this house instead of a hotel! The location was perfect, the house was exceptionally clean, everything we needed was provided for, the beds were super, amazingly comfortable, the view was just the best we've ever experienced! It's truly more than we could have ever hoped for. We especially loved walking out to the pier, and sitting outside under the covered porch. The owners communicated with us when needed, and were so helpful and genuinely nice. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, it is one of the best vacation homes we've stayed in!

Relaxing Lakeside Property
My family (wife and 3 kids) enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse! Although the house only has one bedroom, it slept the 5 of us comfortably. We enjoyed the majority of our time swimming in the lake off the private dock and fishing the cove that runs alongside the property. We enjoyed each of our meals on the back patio and used the grill to cook our dinners during our 3 night stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. I highly recommend this location for a quiet lakeside get away!

I went here for a lake weekend with two out of town friends and it was perfect. Place is cute and clean and the lake was right there with the private dock. We had so much fun just floating in the water and grilling out etc. would totally stay there again.

Peaceful and clean place to vacation
This place is very clean and quiet. Fishing with or without a boat is steps away on your own dock. Boat launch is on the same driveway as you drive in then your boat can stay safely docked at your cabin. Our 9 year old enjoyed swimming while we fished. Cabin has all the conveniences of home. Grocery shopping near by. Town of Gadsen has a lot of nice restaurants and shopping. 2 bait shops very close. The owners respond almost immediately if they need to be contacted. There’s a quilt shop in Ashville located in a 125 year old house. I quilt and we love history so visiting there twice was not enough for me😊. Even though it was hot we still did the “s’mores” thing in the convenient fireplace outside the cabin. It’s so nice. Winter time would really be nice. The porch is nice!! 2 ceiling fans, table and chairs, and a wooden glider. The pictures are nice but still don’t do this place just. It’s really nice! For family, couples, or fishing buddies. We will return. Whoever reads this we hope you too get to visit The Cabin on the Lake. Randy and Suzette

Amazing lake getaway
Although the listing states it was a guest house it was so spacious and roomy inside. My wife and our three kids were so comfortable. The house was really well stocked and Michelle and her husband Jimmy were amazing hosts. We were lucky enough to get to meet them in person as we were checking out and it was evident right away how nice and warm they were and how much they cared that we had a great stay. The property itself is gorgeous with breath taking views, especially from the private dock that goes with the house. Best part of the trip for me was sitting on the dock early in the morning and watching my six year old son fish… so peaceful , I will remember this place and this occasion for a long time.

We swam all three days, went for a few short walks, and took a longer hike at a nearby state park with an amazing waterfall, cooked our own food in the well-stocked kitchen, and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit with wood provided by Michelle. The bed and the pull-out sofa were comfortable, and the bathroom very nice as well. Overall the house was spotlessly clean and well organized. The dock was perfect for jumping in the lake to swim and the nearby boat loading area would have been great if we had had a boat, but unfortunately we did not. I would love to stay at Michelle's house again and maybe bring a canoe or a kayak to explore the lake! Thanks so much for a great few days, Michelle.
