The staff are excellent. We got to the hotel quite a bit early, but they were able to accommodate and get us in the room about 3 hours before checkin. I'm not going to say that is guaranteed, but if they have the space and your room is ready it seems like they are happy to help. The rooms are comfortable, stylish and exactly what we were looking for to meet our needs. It is about 150-200 meters from the Monastraki metro station and Square. It's about 600 meters to Syntagma Square and Plaka neighborhood. The Acropolis is a short walk from Plaka and worth the stroll to the Acropolis. There's everything you can want or need within walking distance. Take the metro from the airport to Monastraki station and walk to the hotel as it is faster and much cheaper than a Uber or taxi. There are also buses that run very frequently for about 7 euros. The hotel itself is older but has been updated. The soundproofing is not the best, but honestly it was not a problem for us. The my noise stopped about 12-1230 every night and we were usually out and about until then anyway. My only complaint is that the balcony door was stuck and would not open, and I specifically booked a room for the balcony, but it was minor and we didn't even mention it to the staff. For the price and location, this is a wonderful hotel. Note, the hotel itself doesn't have a bar or restaurant so you're going to have to venture out into the neighborhood, oh darn.
