Amazing stay!

This was an absolutely incredible rental! The views are amazing with water out of every window. Perfect location between Munising and Marquette, within 5 minutes of AuTrain Beach on Lake Superior. Very clean, plenty of room for our family of six. Would love to stay here again!

Amazing and Relaxing

Wish we could have stayed longer but it was so nice and relaxing and the area was so quiet. Enjoyed the sunrise over the water in the morning and sunset over the water in the back with a fire. Will definitely be back!

Great place to stay. Amazing views and area. Renting the kayaks was a must. Plus in this area central A/C is very hard to find and it works well. Towels are linens are very clean. Host communicates well.

The house was uniquely situated between two bodies of water, so the views were beautiful no matter where you looked. It was only about a mile from a gorgeous Lake Superior lookout as well. We stopped every morning on our way to Munising to take in the lake scenery.

Great family vacation

The location was perfect! With lakes on both sides and access to Lake Au Train. The Kayaks and SUP were nice to have with the dock access across the street. The first step down to the dock was a little unstable but worked. Close to Munising for exploring waterfalls and Pictured Rocks. The property was just as described in the listing. We enjoyed family time and had a great trip.

Au Train Lake House

We come to Michigan to go snowmobiling and stayed in this house. It was 2 miles either way to the trails. The house was very nice, very clean, and well-appointed. The fireplace was nice. There was a lot of places to sit and hang out. The property was well kept and the owners were very kind and responsive. We would absolutely stay here again.

We made the trip up to go snowmobiling. The house is beautiful and has large living spaces etc. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. We would book with them again!

Nice but Let’s just say I won’t be back

I encountered a few issues. 1. I have an esa (dog), on the add it said this place was pet friendly but I got charged an extra $99 fee because their cleaning lady charges them. I didn’t think it was fair being that in the state of Michigan we are not supposed to be charged any fees for an emotional support animal. 2. The house reeked of bleach and other cleaning chemicals the whole time we were there, I woke up with a headache every morning. The kuerig machine was dirty still had an old pod in it. No railing on front stairs, had to help my mother up and down when she wanted to sit out on the front porch. 3. There was only 1 tv in the whole house. Those were my issues. The house was nice but she made such a big deal about my dog thinking he was going to damage her home when I reassured her how well trained he is it made it impossible for us to enjoy ourselves without worries. Yes I paid the extra fees she was being charged by the cleaning lady, even though we didn’t leave a mess. She could use some coasters and I cured her iron skillet for her. I enjoyed myself more when I was out of the home and enjoying the town and Lake Superior.

Quiet and comfortable

This was our first time in the UP and we were looking for a house near Munising. We're glad we picked this house just 15 minutes away. It was very quiet with a great view of the sunrise over Lake AuTrain every morning. The house had everything we needed. Great well equipped kitchen, nice Wifi and TV for streaming movies, comfortable beds.

Fall UP annual trip

We had a great stay. Home was clean and exactly as described. Loved the views of sun rise and sun set . Very quiet. Close to everything we wanted to do. Extra bonus was the little neighborhood down our road to walk the dogs. Perfect weekend. Would rent again for sure.

Lake house living

This was a nice, quiet, private house. Really a great setting for our golden retriever. Small neighborhood to walk your dog adjacent to the house worked out really well! The sunrises over the lake were absolutely beautiful!

AuTrain Lake house

My husband and I have nothing but great things to say about our stay in this beautiful home. It was close to all of the sites we wanted to see as well as several restaurants and breweries. If you’ve never been to see Pictured Rocks, it is absolutely amazing and this house is only around 15 minutes from Munising. We really enjoyed our time spent here.

Pretty views and very nice home

This house was a beautiful spacious house with views of water from both the front and the back of the house. It was close to the Au Tran river and Lake Superior as well. The kitchen was well equipped- though I would suggest at least 2 matching wine glasses and some potholders. The bathrooms were nice, there were hangers in the bedrooms, the dining room and living room were spacious and the washer/dryer was large. The house was very private with no neighbors . The owner was responsive to questions. The one caution I would give would be that the yard seemed to have chiggers. Be sure you use Off and wear shoes and socks! Otherwise, I loved the house and would recommend it!

Wonderful Stay - Perfect Location

What an amazing, beautiful, and peaceful property. The house was super clean, very well equipped, and very comfortable. This was our first trip to the Upper Peninsula and we were stunned by the beauty and serenity of the location. Perfect location for exploring the area, close to Marquette, Munising, and all the hiking, waterfalls, and beaches in the area. Hosts were quick to respond, and very helpful. Hoping to return next summer.
