« Cosy Barn was the perfect place to stay for a get-away from it all weekend.The house was welcoming, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Quiet location with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep, and the village pub is about half a mile away. « Dark and gloomy area, not safe seeming at all. We were sent wrong apartment number so spent an hour trying to find 18 when in fact flat was 22.Heat kicked in at midnight and was impossible to turn down, WiFi barely worked and downstairs toilet was broken. Floor between living area and dining was cracked and constantly tripped people up. No dishwasher tablets also but overall most things we could have gotten over but sending wrong address just set the tone for a poor experience.Overall shabby and...

« Clovelly Court is well placed and Nightingale House was well appointed with a great lay-out for 6 adults sharing. We were in the area for a wedding so the location was great and we loved that the property is walking distance from a superb and quirky pub, a fabulous coffee shop, pharmacy, and Sainsbury. A good location, too, for exploring further afield. All the bedrooms are a great size and having 3 bathrooms was a bonus. The owners are fab - great communication and very accommodating offering...

« This is a beautifully put together house and it was immaculately clean throughout. Check-in was no problem and the location was great. If you are not a good walker, you might struggle with the trudge up the steep hill from Matlock to the house: we decided it meant the cheese and wine was well earned!! "Rooms a bit dates and nothing special at all for the price. Better options nearby. I have a habit of staying here regularly when in Sheffield on business as I have done so for years...and have stuck with it because of on-site parking and ease of access etc. However, the parking is now managed via a 3rd party and if you leave the car park for an hour and come back it's a pain, as there are just 2 payment rates (ÂŁ12 day rate/ÂŁ18 overnight). There is a way around it by explaining to reception each time but I just found it badly managed and impractical. Executive rooms are basically standard rooms with a coffee machine and a bathrobe. Breakfast is good. Shop nextdoor is handy, and a good range of restaurants nearby"
