« We came up to big star lake to hang out with family who have a cottage there. We had a very good night and then came back to a really nice home to sleep in. This place has all the ammenities of our own home. We felt at home instantly. 10 stars!! Would definitly stay here again. »

« We had a nice experience staying here. Don was very kind and friendly.. he supplied all the amenities you’d be looking for except for TV and Wi-Fi. The cabin was very well maintained and clean. He had a stack of firewood with fire starters If you want to have a fire, there was a grill available upon request. It’s only 10 minutes from Baldwin. It’s a great jump off point for going to places like Leland Traverse City. We took a day and drove up M22 . We enjoyed exploring Michigan. I would rent it...

« The moment we pulled up to the drive way I knew it was going to be an amazing stay. From the cottage feel to the abundance of fun things to do (kayaking, fishing, grilling, outdoor / indoor games, and so much more!) there was no shortage of family memories to build. So much so this place would be good for a multitude of stays: from romantic getaways, family (infant and kid friendly) excursions, and even just a fun adventure with friends, the riverside retreat stay was a 10/5 in my book. « Lovely cabin- felt like we were up in the mountains. Plenty of private space and wooded area for the dog to run around. The host was great at communicating and answering any questions. The only thing to be aware of is the long two-track driveway that can be a little tricky in wet or snowy conditions. I would highly recommend and stay again! »
