Not only was this house breathtaking, with the infinity pool, outdoor spaces, and a super open main floor plan, but the host and management team did an incredible job preparing us for the trip, and helping us make fun activity and terrific restaurant reservations. The team was very, very responsive, and was constantly checking in to see how we were getting along during our week-long stay. The drive up to the house, as mentioned by others, requires a 4x4 vehicle and a strong constitution, but the payoff once you arrive is worth it. The location in Uvita provides easy access to so many fun activities within a small driving distance. We can't recommend this experience any more. We loved it.

Family get away

Great family week in Uvita

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Casa La Vista in Uvita. The property manager has the best customer service of any VRBO we have stayed at, very communicative and helpful. They assisted with booking activities and followed up several times. Any questions we had were answered super fast.As for the location, the house is tucked away in the hill and surrounded by wildlife. A few friendly toucans visited the house each morning. Also, there are two supermarkets nearby that we used but found the BM market to have better selection for our family needs over the Maxi Pali. A 4x4 vehicle is imperative to make it up the driveway to the house - the property team will also remind you. Overall it was a great week, our first time in CR!

Spectacular home

From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the attention to detail, cleanliness and beauty of the property. The home and kitchen were well equipped with everything we needed and situated in an excellent location with stores, restaurants and local attractions within a few minutes drive. The host Natasha was excellent at communicating and was very responsive the entire time from checking in, to checking out. She also made several restaurant recommendations and answered all my questions prior to coming to Uvita. Thoughtfulness, such as a bowl full of fresh fruit upon arrival was a nice added touch. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor space including the pool, were a dream! Only the bedrooms had air conditioning so the house did get extremely warm( the one and only negative). Not much of a breeze flows through this property. Still, even with that we can't recommend this property enough. If you're looking for the perfect getaway, look no further.

A beautiful house at the top of an exciting drive that absolutely requires a 4x4 vehicle.Cofmy beds, fully equipped kitchen. A/C in bedroom only. Excellent infinity pool. Absolutely great time. Recommend!!!

House is beautiful and we’d stay there again - the property management team was excellent, with very good communication and prompt resolution of issues. The only 3 issues with the house to be aware of. 1. The kitchen/living area is not air conditioned and can be very hot, especially the first day when all the windows are closed up. 2. The screens don’t fit properly in many windows, so bugs come in the gaps. 3. The downstairs bedrooms are very musky smelling. All in all the property is amazing.

Everything was beyond expectation! Tastefully decorated, clean, fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous pool and views. We loved the Toucans, parrots, Capuchins, and Howlers. We plan on returning next year!

Amazing property in an amazing place!

While traveling with my family of 5, this house provided an amazing base for us to explore this beautiful country from. The house is large, flawlessly clean and in good order and situated right on the hillside surrounded by forest. We spotted macaws and toucans from the pool and could hear the howler monkeys in the distance (sometimes maybe not so distant) while enjoying our morning coffee. Natasha was accessible and easy to communicate with when we had questions. The lower level wifi did not work for the duration of our stay and I noted some other reviews mentioned this. This wasn't too important to us on this trip, but thought I'd mention it for anyone who that might be of importance to. Great hosts, beautiful place and an immaculately clean and wonderful home to stay in!

The property was very nice - clean, well maintained and comfortable with plenty of room and space for socializing as well as spending solitary time just enjoying the natural surroundings. Great Location for Wildlife!!

Beautiful house; very nice location. Natasha answered all our questions and made certain that everything went smoothly. Our excursions were cancelled due to the hurricane, but we enjoyed our stay at the house, and Chef Maria outdid herself on our last night! Highly recommend a meal by Maria!

Uvita Vacation

Overall we had a wonderful time during our stay in Uvita. The pros and cons are as follows: The PROS - The house and grounds were beautiful as advertised. The pool, outside covered pagoda, and views were great. The inside living space and master BR with bath were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with small appliances, utensils, etc. The communication with the property manager was very good, along with help in arranging pre-stocked provisions, outside excursions, restaurant/shopping recommendations and a wonderful 5 star chefs dinner at the house among others. The CONS - The "air conditioned" is a little deceptive. Outside of the bedrooms there is no A/C, only ceiling and floor fans making it uncomfortable to be in the house during the day. The cooking situation was very difficult as there was no oven in the kitchen and the advertised outside grill was non-existent. It made for a lot of un-anticipated and costly dinners out. After several discussions with the property manager we did finally get a grill on the second to last day of our stay. The refrigerator water and ice maker was also broken. One maintenance issue did pop up. Evidently there was some sort of leak in the two downstairs bedrooms A/C condenser that dripped water through the ceilings and created a strong musty odor throughout our stay. We notified management, I guess significant repairs will need to be made. Better A/C and more cooking options would have made our stay a truly 5 star experience.

Perfect Family Getaway

Our stay here was perfect! Our entire family loved it!!! Natasha was such a wonderful help throughout our whole stay and everyone around town was so nice. Even though it says to in the listing be sure to rent a 4x4 vehicle, you will NEED it for the drive away and many other locations during your stay! The kids are already asking when we will be going back!!!!! The pool was lovely and being surrounded by very friendly toucans, macaws and a sloth made it even more special. Can't wait to come visit again with our newest addition <3

Part of paradise!

My family of 6 (my hubby and I and our 4 boys) absolutely LOVED this incredible home! It is so well equipped with EVERYTHING you can think off! It is spacious, AC’s in each bedroom, huge windows, toucan birds above the stunning swimming pool, a sloth who frequently visits and monkeys howling now and again. The property manager Natasha and her husband Yerry is fantastic!! She is so kind and friendly, responds immediately when needed and her recommendations were spot on. She also speaks fluent English being from Canada originally. Natasha honestly became a friend. We were truly sad to leave this amazing property!!! It was the best 12 days in the jungle but 8mins from the beach. The local grocery store is 10mins drive, and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. If I could give this property 20/10 I would’ve lol The owner honestly made this a home away from home

Amazing Uvita Property!

The house was amazing and everything that we expected and more from the listing! It has gorgeous views and is impeccably maintained. Natasha (the property manager) went above and beyond. She met us to make sure we got to the property okay, walked us through the house making sure to answer any questions, kept in contact during the stay, was a great resource for questions and met us on our day of departure to help us check out. This was the best VRBO experience we have had (and we have had some amazing ones)!

Great house. Great location.

Spent nearly 2 weeks in Uvita Costa Rica. This is a very nice house that a great view. We really enjoyed being on the balcony and being able to look at the ocean from the pool. The wild life we saw from the balcony was great as well. We saw some howler monkeys in the trees right next to the balcony a few of the mornings. There were several tucans that visited us and we even saw a sloth on the last day! We really enjoyed our time there.

Uvita - June 15-21

The house, the town of Uvita, the restaurants, the excursions, Natasha - all so wonderful and an vacation we will never forget! Great place to stay !

It was perfect for the 3 of us. the location was perfect, the view is amazing and we got to have monkeys playing right next to us the very first morning. we saw Toucans, Macaws and many other birds. The property manager, Natasha, was very helpful.

Great Stay in a Great Area

The property was beautiful. It was in a great area with many places to eat along with many excursions to do less than 10 minutes away. The view from the pool was awesome! We saw lots of wildlife from the comfort of the pool.
