Long Weekend in the Mountains

Our family took a long weekend trip to the mountains to avoid the intense summer heat. We love this area of the NC mountains and the proximity to Grandfather mountain, Banner Elk, Boone, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. This place had everything we needed and was perfectly located for us. We enjoyed seeing chipmunks frolicking, several deer strolling by the property, and (I think) a groundhog? We also enjoyed the nearby short hike to Otter Falls. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, but the pool table was great and we enjoyed the firepit for some s'mores and played some of the board games that were available. Booking was easy and we had no problems with the place. Would definitely stay here again. Great family weekend getaway!

Family Ski & Outdoor Trip

Our family had a wonderful stay at Knob Hill Chalet. The hosts were always quick to respond to any inquiries and communication. The property was as expected, with fantastic views of the mountains and wildlife. We were convenient to skiing, restaurants, Grandfather Mountain, and more. The kitchen supplies (pots, pans, cutting board, and odds & ends) could maybe use some updating, but I’m nitpicking here. House had everything we needed and more. Would certainly stay again.

Amazing time, beautiful property in a fantastic location!

Amazing time, beautiful property in a fantastic location! Highly recommend this property - 5 stars all around. We loved the location and being in the middle of everything. Our kids loved the fishing at the trout farm close by and the zip line course was a hit as well! The house was well equipped and lots of fun for the kids and family to enjoy together. We will most definitely rent again if back in the area 🌟

Fun Mountain Treehouse!

What a cool house! Everything was as described at the Knob Hill Chalet. Amanda and John were excellent with communication. The hot tub and fire pit were awesome. We also brought our 21-month old and our own baby gates (which were an absolute necessity). The sleeping arrangements were great. The pool table made for some fun competition and the coffee bar was a delightful touch. We will be back next year.

Everything you need and want!

My family had a wonderful stay at the chalet. Even the hot tub was heated and ready to go. They provide all the creature comforts of home and we found the grocery and skiing in Sugar Mountain very accessible. (Side note: rent ski gear from Highland House and avoid lines at the resort.) A huge thanks to Amanda and John!

Weekend stay with the family

Immensely enjoyed our stay here during a visit to Boone for a baseball tournament. It is absolutely perfect for a family with a wide age range of children (ages 7-15). There’s enough room to spread out and the family room and game room lends to fun family time. The beds are super comfy, kitchen is very well stocked, internet strength is great, view is gorgeous! Everything is very clean! We loved the fun touches to this house to make it unique like the hot chocolate/coffee bar, the hot tub and game room. Thank you, John and Amanda! We look forward to coming back again! Would give more than 5 stars if that was an option!

Great Stay!

The new owners are definitely committed to making your stay nice comfortable, and enjoyable. They are very responsive and kind, the location is great, and the cabin well-appointed (inside and out). Perfect Getaway

Amanda & John thought of everything. The home was beautiful, the view was stunning, and we had everything we needed. They thought of every detail and were incredibly communicative. We went during hurricane Ian, which meant not as much hiking in the area as we'd liked. But, we enjoyed playing pool, watching football, hitting the hot tub, and heading to nearby Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. We wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend, and Knob Hill Chalet fit the bill. We will be back for sure!
