Hotel Bannow

« From the moment you pull in the driveway you get a sense of calm. The landscape is absolutely stunning. You are greeted at the door by one of the owners. They show you around then take you upstairs to your room. The decor was very calming and having its own bathroom in your room is a great bonus. If we ever come back to this part of Ireland, we will 100%...

« Cute place to stay above a lovely pub and on the water. Good value for money. Pros: dog friendly, beach access, beverage tray with sparkling water and tea/instant coffee and a kettle (always nice). Little things that could be improved: there was no full size bath towel, just a hand towel and shower mat, window had been left ajar for fresh air (which is great) but meant that by the time I arrived, there were a ton of knats/midges/little bugs inside and outside the window. »

« Avoid! We stayed mid-Sept (2026) and were excited to try an adventure of a room 'in a pub'. It was a horrific experience and we departed early. We (3 women) had the courtyard triple room (#23). As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a dampness and a strong smell of mildew. We thought heat would help but the radiator would not turn on; we went to the bar staff (part of the problem is that there is no on-site manager to resolve issues) and the bar staff told us the heat is not turned on until...
