« We had a fantastic stay at the Bear’s Den for Labor Day week/end 2025. The owners have done a wonderful job of making this a fantastic up north getaway in the woods. It was so peaceful and relaxing while also having all you need in terms of modern amenities. There were 7 of us plus a dog and we were all cozy and comfortable. You need to plan around the ferry for coming and going but we thought that added to the adventure and the kids loved it. Highly recommend. My parents already want to come...

« We stayed here for 1 night on our UP road trip but wished we would have stayed more! The cabin was super cute and clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5! The kids loved the kayaks and playing in the water. We enjoyed the fire pit that night. The convenience store on the island was great and has a lot of what we needed. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time. »

« We were very happy with this place. It was nicely decorated, clean and laid out well for what we needed. We loved the live edge bar, fireplace and view of the lake. We also utilized the grill on the deck. There was plenty of parking as we had a truck with a boat trailer and a second truck. We would not hesitate to stay here again. »

« We’ve stayed at this house before and have always enjoyed it. Plenty of room for 4 adults and a baby, a very well stocked kitchen, and a gorgeous view. Walkable to everything we need. Check-in and out was easy and the house was well-stocked with supplies. The internet connection was spotty, so maybe not the place to work remotely. But otherwise- perfect »
