„This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic.
Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay. The location is very central for the surrounding walks, ...

Upon entering the apartment, the deco was ver tasteful and the technology with electric blinds and a mirrored tv were amazing. Its very specious and very clean.The best place I've stayed in.The location is walking distance to everything in Kirkby Lonsdale. The owner went above and beyond, checking we were happy with everything. “

„I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral.
I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed.
Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days.
Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side!
Would definitely stay here again.“
