Chalet de ski Creekside près de Big Powderhorn Mountain

  • Situé juste au nord de la US Highway 2 entre Ironwood et Bessemer dans le Big Snow Country de la péninsule supérieure occidentale du Michigan, Waldhein est le chalet vert et jaune de Creekside Trail sur Powderhorn Road en route vers le lodge principal de Big Powderhorn Mountain. Notre allée sinueuse accède aux deux routes, le stationnement est donc suffisant pour plusieurs véhicules.

    Nous sommes à quelques minutes du Blackjack et à proximité des montagnes d'Indianhead pour l'embarquement et le ski alpin.

    Pour vos expériences de Big Powderhorn Mountain, vous pouvez marcher jusqu'à l'ascenseur n ° 1 (environ 1200 pieds) et skier ou embarquer, conduire ou vous pouvez prendre la navette pendant la saison de neige au Gun Barrel Lodge ou à l'un des autres bars / restaurants du Zone de montagne.

    Vous avez un accès à l'intérieur / à l'extérieur (laissez vos remorques dans notre allée) à la piste de motoneige et de VTT # 2.

    Les skieurs de fond peuvent traverser la route pour les nordiques locaux et sont à proximité des pistes de ski de fond et de vélo de montagne Wolverine de 26 km.

    Waldhein est un chalet à deux niveaux avec des ponts avant aux niveaux principal et supérieur et une terrasse latérale avec barbecue au charbon au niveau principal.

    Il a trois chambres (1 lit queen, 2 lits doubles) et une chambre avec balcon (avec 2 lits jumeaux), deux salles de bain (une à chaque niveau) et une cuisine complète. Les draps et la plupart des articles de toilette sont fournis. Vous pouvez profiter d'une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite dans l'atmosphère chaleureuse que le foyer au bois vous aidera à offrir.

We loved our stay! The place was cozy and clean. It’s right next to Powderhorn for skiing and then close to a couple others as well. We loved using this as our home base for a great ski weekend.

Great cabin for a snow filled weekend with the family. Super close to Big Powderhorn making for a short drive to ski. It was a winter vacation dream sitting next to the fire watching the snow pile up.

This was an amazing winter wonderland getaway! Such a cozy cabin that fit our family, dogs, and friends perfectly. So close to Big Powderhorn and the owners provided so many essentials, such great hospitality. Beautiful scenery, we can't wait to come back.

Perfect little chalet close to Big Powderhorn with all the amenities! Plenty of room for everyone. Cozy and decorated in vintage ski - chic. Loved cozying up by the fireplace with the whole family after a day on the slopes.

Great ski cabin

We were up for a long ski weekend, cozy cabin with a great fireplace. Very close to both Jackson Creek, blackjack and powderhorn. Skied them all, as well as visited the ski flying jump.

Fantastic stay in Northwoods!

The chalet was perfect for 6 days of outdoor fun with our family of seven. The cross country ski trails and hiking around the chalet are unmatched - and we've enjoyed downhill skiing in the area for several years. The fireplace was wonderful, and beds were great. We brought an instant pot and cooked all of our meals. Truly a first rate place!

Wonderful!

My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Waldhein Chalet. The place was comfy, cozy and nicely furnished. We appreciated that we were able to bring our golden retriever with us, and she had so much fun prancing through the snow. It was a perfect weekend getaway and hope to come back again sometime. Cozy homebase for a long weekend of skiing in the area. Beds are comfortable, there were plenty of extra blankets to cuddle up in the evenings, kitchen was well stocked and the woodburning fireplace was a plus. The cabin had great character and a perfect location.Tips for future renters: when arriving look for a sign that says Creekside to find the cabin. There was a lot of snow so it was a little hard to see the turn off when we arrived in the evening. Also, the leather chair is a recliner! ;-)

Perfect winter getaway in the UP

Thanks for an amazing place to stay. The house is so cozy, comfortable, and the perfect place for our winter weekend. We skied at big Powederhorn and Snow River, so the location was perfect. We also snow shoed the Wolverine Nordic trails, which were just down the road. Thanks for being an excellent host and being dog friendly! We can't wait to come back!!!

Perfect chalet

The house was just perfect. Very clean and welcoming as soon as we walked into the door. Plenty of firewood already in place for us to use. The house was warm and felt just like home. I couldn't ask for any better communication with the owners too. It was the perfect get away and if we decide to visit the area again we will try to rent this home once more. Everything was just perfect for our family get away.

Great stay

Was a great building unfortunately big powerhorn closed early so we were unable make use of thr proximity but Sean gave us some great alternative options and we were still able to have a great time.
