Stayed there 1 night as i was attending a convention at NEC. It is closed to it that is the main good point of this place. It is expensive, old, super strict on rules, times and procedure. Rooms are old. No plug near the beds for your phone, lack of noise isolation, old furniture. My door was banging every time somebody around was closing there's.... let's say it makes early morning it you deceided to sleep in. Staff is nice but will not do more than what they are paid for. Happy mood is not included either. The pool is nice but the place is huge and a maze, My room was at the opposite side of the reception, pool and restaurant and this is not a nice walk. A good choice if you have no choice.

Friendly and very welcoming staff. Rooms comfortable and quiet. Will definitely use again. Takes only 10 minutes to walk to Resorts World Arena (recently opened knew access)

This is our 3rd stay at the Arden hotel, staff are always friendly & helpful. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style with the best range of breakfast items available all for £14.00 drinks included. It is very close to the Resort world complex Would fully recommend the arden hotel.

Convenient for a trip to the nec great parking room clean bed good but the hotel rooms and furniture are in need of updating. Very dated. No aircon the room was warm so opened the window which faced onto a busy and noiseless dual carriageway so didn’t get a good nights sleep. Maybe other rooms are better.

Came in for one night 2 rooms, 3 people. On arrival parking is more than adequate on site and the outside areas pleasant. The foyer is very clean and bright, modern looking. Staff on the desk were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this is where it goes downhill. Our rooms were opposite each other which was great although the rooms are very dated, sockets not tightened to back boxes and move if you touch them, tv not working in one room, lights are touch and go and often flicker. The room on the front of the property by the main road absolutely stank of smoke. It was overbearing and putrid. As we were there for an event our friend said that's fine, we're on a tight timescale so she would just open the window and it'll be aired out by the time we get back from our show. How wrong were we. Room seems to have smoke ingrained into the furnishings despite having been aired 11 hours before returning. Room key then refused to work on one room. Fortunately the staff sorted that very quickly for us. The smokey room still stank when we left the following morning. Surely with such a pungent odour the hotel knew about it. This was complained about in the morning. Just to top off that particular room our friend noticed while packing up in the morning a large piece of bodily fluid smudged into the wall. Water pressure is extremely poor. Toilet flush buttons temperamental and hit and miss on working. Towels were rather rigid and horrible. Rooms are poorly insulated against noise.

5mins walk to nec, nice pool and jacuzzi. Only downside was the Resturant food was warm not hot but the service was really really slow and it was nearly empty so it wasn’t because they were full. Staff at reception were friendly

This is a very smart hotel which is kept clean and tidy. It has a very nice bar, a restaurant and leisure club. I only used the bar but did eat there - the menu is very limited but fine for a bar. There is plenty of free parking and breakfast is available - I felt £14 was on the high side for what was an average breakfast. This isn't somewhere you'd stay for the scenery as it's surrounded by roads, railways and is right next to Birmingham Airport. I suspect the airport provides much of its business but, for me, the attraction was proximity to the NEC so I was very happy and comfortable at the hotel.

On arrival the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We went to our room. It looked a bit dated but clean ish. In the bathroom it was obvious that someone had urinated in the toilet with flushing it. No toilet roll holder. When showering the bath was not emptying. We phone reception and as it was at night we was told we would have to report it in the morning and wouldn’t be able to use it tonight. Fortunately we knew others staying in the hotel so we used their shower.

Hotel was a little dated and could use some modernisation and the breakfast was the same hotel breakfast you get everywhere, but overall was a great place to stay the staff were amazing and everything was on your doorstep

I stayed here for a concert at the Arena. Ten minute walk from there and close to the airport too. Clean and tidy room and the bar and restaurant were excellent. Drinks and food well priced (the beers in the Arena were twice the price) and comfortable seating added up to a good stay. Breakfast was well worth the price. Good food and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again

The property is walking distance to the arena (5 mins) and free parking. The negative is the hotel is so warm, the corridors and bedrooms are boiling! The ‘aircon’ in the room doesn’t work and was extremely hot all night. Can’t open windows due to noise from the motorway. Would only recommend to stay here if you are visiting Resorts World and can handle a boiling hot bedroom

Myself and my daughter stayed here as we was attending a concert at resorts world, it was only a short walk away, restaurants also near, our room was lovely and comfortable just right for our stay. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to the lovely staff also.

Proximity to Resorts World is fantastic and being in a quiet location. Food was delicious although having to pre-book afternoon tea was disappointing. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, great selection and very freshly made and tasted wonderful. Leisure facilities and rooms were very good. Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again in the future.
