« Prior to check-in, Sarah was very responsive. The cottage itself was immaculate and so cute. It was a great location for us to stay. Upon checkout, Sarah answered all of our questions nearly immediately regarding what to do with the linens and rubbish. Hoping to stay here again, if our travels bring us in this direction. »

« Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. »

« We stayed at Marley’s Retreat because we had some business to do in Newcastle. The cottage looks tiny from the outside, but once up the stairs we found a roomy but cosy front room and a luxurious master bedroom. The solemn wooden furniture in the big bedroom complimented the cottage/flat beautifully and is very classy as well as providing plenty of space for clothes. The bed is absolutely huge! I’m 5’10†and I touched neither the headboard nor footboard when I was sprawled out...
