« We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here »

« Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available. »

« Perfectly remote and cozy! I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy sleeping in but the land was calling to us. Terrific house manual sent ahead of booked stay takes all the guess work out of using the property. There are adjacent properties but separated by heavy vegetation. We slept very comfortably. « Skuli was a superb host. He communicated with us several days before our stay and walked us through every step of check-in. His daughter, Christelle, met us in Reykjavik and drove out, leading the way to their home. She was available to answer any questions about how to work the appliances, etc. She was very helpful. « Attention: The lock of the outer door is defective, never go out without a key! It locks itself, the mechanism to change it is broken. With other doors of this type, you have to actively lock it. After half an hour and several phone calls, help finally arrived. Please have it repaired. It was also disappointing that the house does not have its own jacuzzi. Here the pictures are definitely deceiving! The hot tub is located at the community house "in the immediate vicinity", which is over 1 km...
