Lower Slaughters is the best place in the Cotswolds, and the Country Inn atmosphere and staff have further contributed to our very relaxing stay there. We planned to go for more visits, but decided to seize the moment and stay a full-day enjoying the place to read, rest, do short walks to Bourton-on-the-water or the next door mill »

« We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value. Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi. The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large! Well done to all the staff. »

« This hotel is a pub with rooms above. It is a period building so has it's quirks but that adds to it's charm. Our room was spacious & bathroom was very clean. Other furnishings a little tired & electrics need updating as extension leads with multiple sockets pose a safety issue. Food was excellent & staff were amazing. Definitely would stay again as in a great location in town. »

« The bed were confortable and the room was large enough. Breakfast was good (except the coffee). When we entered the room there was a strong stench. It was the drain of the shower. They gave us perfume because we couldn't breath even with the window open. At night we had to closed the bathroom door and in the morning it was terrible. They didn't fix it after our first night and we hope they did after our stay. Plus, there was chewing gum on the contour sheet and we could not find the lady of the...

« Une propriété magnifique qui a toutefois besoin d'amour à l'intérieur de ses chambres. Les fenêtres claquaient à chaque fois qu'un client fermait sa porte de chambre et ce avec un boum fracassant. Le lit était defence et les meubles étaient désuets pour un hotel de cette qualité. Le souper au restaurant était parfait, le petit déjeuner inclus aussi parfait et tout l'extérieur sur le site était magique. Bien aimé mais pas certain que j'y retournerai pour le confort de la chambre. »

« Séjour pour une étape de randonnée sur les sentiers de la Thamise. Très bon hôtel avec un excellent pub et restaurant, très bien situé dans Cirencester. Notre chambre était située au dessus du pub et il y avait trop de bruits malheureusement même un soir de semaine jusqu'à très tard. Pas très reposant au final... Mais très bonnes prestations par ailleurs. »

« If you want to feel like you are starring in your own movie in a charming English village, book Well Cottage! The cottage is situated in the most perfect location. I did not have a car. So I spent mornings on long walks and then a nice lunch in the village. Then "home" to Well Cottage to rest my back in comfort, have a nice hot bath and then an evening out or reading in front of the fire. I slept so deeply( beautiful linens) in a very cozy bed.
