"Agriturismo Il Campanile" and its two appartments "Ibiscus" and "Ortensia" sits at the souhern slopes of the Lattari Mountains right in the middle of lemon gardens above the village of Minori. The heavenly location, the air full of lemon fragrance and not at least the many steps leading up to the appartments contribute their part to prevent you from falling into too much activism. Just stay and enjoy the lovely view sitting on the terrace - sunbathing, eating, drinking, relaxing.
The appartments are typical Italian, homely and equiped with everything that is needed. Ornella and Salvatore, the landlord family, are warm, friendly and caring.
We did not go our for dining too much, but preferred to cook ourselves. There are so many delicious ingredients that you can buy in Minori: fruits, vegetables, meat - and of course the pasta of "Il Pastaio": Truly the best ravioli we ever had in our entire life! Should you decide to go shoppling and don't want to walk hundreds of stairs, there's a Minibus driving you almost up to the agriturismo.
What you whould try is the lemon syrup of Ornella which is sold at the reception and also her homemade Limoncello: you won't find any better in Minori or Ravello!
In order to have a decent breakfast with lots of delicious pastry, we recommend the Pasticceria "Gambardella".
Along the Amalfi coast there's a lot to see and visit: Ravello, Amalfi, Positano, Salerno and many more small villages. Be prepared to drive for approx. one hour an a narrow winding road with a lot of reckless locals and some buses on between. Or take the boat which operates several times a day to connect the costal towns. Also there are many hiking tracks, most of which are challenging in summer but rewarding with magnificent views of the sea and the coast.
If you go by car, it's also an easy trip to go north to Naples, Pompei, Ercolano, the Vesuvio, Caserta. Just take the road over the Lattari Mountains departing from Maiori via Campinola - it's shorter and much more convenient to drive than going via Salerno.
Definitely a place to recommend! Not so well suited should you travel with dogs needing long walks or very small children in danger of falling.
