« We had 2 very good nights sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. Funny was the mirror in the bathroom was fitted well high up, you can not see yourself if you are about 5 ft tall. The shower screen was a bit narrow for the long shower tray, the floor got very wet when having shower. »

« Strange entrance to our room as had to hold the fire door open and room door to get the cases in. Room was clean as was bathroom although bath panel very scruffy. Due to the style of sink turning the tap on causes a tidal wave and wets you through so have to use cautiously! Had to pay for parking as didn’t book directly with hotel. »

« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« I’m very disappointed because this property is simply not accurately advertised. The accommodation itself is nice, but several of the facilities that influenced my decision to book DO NOT EXIST as advertised. Expedia clearly lists a restaurant, bar/lounge and full-service spa, including massage, and shows spa/sauna facilities. In reality, there is NO restaurant, NO bar and NO full-service spa. « There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and parking was a nightmare; other cars were in the spot that were suppose to be designated for the listing. We had to pay to park over night. Pill out bed is not very comfortable. The host had great communication when we had trouble with accessing the check in instructions. Overall, wish the dishes in the dishwasher had been dealt with correctly as we planned on eating breakfast there in the morning before leaving but had no clean cutlery! »

« The person at the reception had a very inappropriate behaviour. The welcome was cold, to such a point that we did not stay in the hotel for the diner. Piscine (nice, good temperature), sauna (not warm enough - could not even sweat) Jaccuzzi (out of order). Wifi limited to Whathsapp and Facebok. TV poor quality (channels). « Extremely friendly staff, made us feel very welcome! Lovely spacious room & really good shower, nice big comfortable bed & peaceful stay, big private balcony, breakfast was amazing!! Not a problem but room & balcony could do with a little updating & bbc channels didn't work properly due to signal but we had a lovely stay. Very close to village & lake, excellent location & would definitely stay again if we are in Windermere »
