This unit’s location was perfect for a two-night fall get-away with my daughter and granddaughter, as it was indeed super close to Silver Dollar City and its Harvest Crafts and Pumpkins Festival. This was a last minute booking, with our more familiar lodging options being unavailable. The condo was spacious, with a large deck accessible from both the living room add master bedroom. We arrived after dark, but easily found the unit following directions provided by the host.
The unit had a stale smell when we arrived, but did not appear unclean, except for the return air vent. The living room rug, however, was in need of cleaning. I had issues re-locking the sliding glass door to the back deck, which was reported to the owner, who said there was no issue with the locking mechanism. Because it took so long to re-lock the door securely, we unfortunately did not feel comfortable chancing it again to use our deck.
There were large gashes cut into the paint and sheetrock in the dining room. A rusted shower head evidenced water damage, as did the wall and soft floor. There were large swaths of mismatched paint on the master bedroom wall. The bed sheets and pillows were very thin and worn. We heard loud footsteps from the unit above throughout the night and early morning. No fault of the owner but something potential guests should know.
In summary, I did not feel this property was worth the price we paid.
