« Our hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. Our travel coincided with a snow storm and very cold weather. Before our arrival, our hosts kept us informed about local weather and road conditions, so we could time a safe arrival. During our stay, they continued to ensure that all of our needs were met. The Peak-A-View Mountain Retreat was the perfect place to stay during our time at the John C. Campbell Folk School. The cabin is clean and cozy and our dog enjoyed the fenced back yard. »

« Lovely A frame cabin in a very quiet and secluded area. Everything was very clean and easy to cook on the kitchen. It’s also a pet friendly property. There is a beautiful view of the lake, more so when the trees are not in full bloom. »

« The host was very good. She was very informative. The house was beautiful and very roomy for the family. I did try to light a fire , but found the lighters were unusable and there were only two matches. As she informed us ahead of time, the road up was very challenging. Maybe a few more directional signs would help. The views were spectacular, and the surrounding areas were as well. Besides the lack of lighters, we had everything we could need. We enjoyed ourselves very much »
