« The hotel is beautiful from the outside and located in such a picturesque area but the room we got was a disappointment. Located on the first floor and tucked in a corner, it did not match the pictures on the site and looked rather old (except for the bathroom), with an uncomfortably slumping mattress. « Our stay at Thornbank couldn't have been better. Jane and mark were wonderful hosts. The hotel was easy to find. Impeccably kept and had all the amenities you need. You could book breakfast and a variety of options were available. The lication was great perfevtly placed halfway between windermere and bowness for places to eat. The frontage of the house was beautiful with lots of flowers too which was lovely. We had a great time and would highly recommend »
