Amazing
The beach house was amazing. It was a bit remote to get to but the owners were in constant communication with us and were willing to meet us and drive us in. We chose to follow the directions provided and looked at it as a bit of a treasure hunt! The prize was amazing! The beach was wonderful. Make sure to walk down the beach to the left, at low tide, you will discover the hot springs right there in the sand. Look for the steam!!! We soaked in our own little hot pool we dug. And sunset pictures…the best!! We will definitely stay again.

Can't beat the location
We enjoyed our time here; it maybe would have been different if the vacation rental nextdoor had a large group booked there, but thankfully it was empty. Pros: beachfront, remodeled kitchen, friendly neighbor, clean surfaces cons: no secure parking area, no beach gear/towels (except 1 functional body board), just a suggestion , a toilet seat isn't very expensive, but replacing the one with paint chips in it will just feel "cleaner", plastic ones don't chip

Beautiful location, perfect accomodation
We loved our stay. The view from inside the house, not to mention from its deck, was phenomenal. Steps to miles of beach, perfect for beach walking, camp fire, and just relaxing. Short walk to a pleasant and peaceful little village, a short drive from everything else you could possibly need. Everyone involved was great to work with. We loved our stay and hope to stay there again!

Perfectly Relaxing!
After somewhat confusing driving directions augmented by ongoing street construction, we were guided through step by step along an alternative route by property mangers Phillip and Nikki. True godsend! Phillip met us at the property and graciously showed us around and supplied us with some great local information. The next morning we awoke to a wide open, sandy beach with all but a few souls taking a morning stroll. We have never felt more relaxed as we spent the days reading books, fishing, exploring and playing board games with our boys. A truly fantastic stay!

Great spot!
We love this little section of beach for staying with kids. We've been here many times and plan to come back to Jason's house specifically because of the cleanliness and great location. I am already missing the beach and the beautiful view from those big bay windows as I write this review!! Take me back!! :-)

Cozy Beach House

This place was amazing, It was so beautiful. Waking up every morning and enjoying the ocean breeze was priceless. The house is very clean and updated. It is spacious with a large open floor plan that accommodated everyone. I can't wait to stay here again.

Other then the bedrooms being a little and one mattress needing deep pocket sheets this was a great place to spend the week. It was really comfortable and cozy. I have no problem going back or recommending it to friends and family

We walked in and immediately felt the breeze coming off of the ocean. It's fabulous. Very nice place, well appointed and 30 steps to the beach. The hosts were very, very accommodating. This was a great value and we had a blast.

Was a bit hard to locate , but owner was helpful with directions, beautiful view . Wish the bathroom sink was working better drain was slow to go down almost clogged but all other was good

Amazing view
Jason’s place was simply amazing. It was cozy, clean and very relaxing. The home is in a perfect location, very secluded and known by the locals to be an exclusive beach. I was happy to know that the house is surrounded by American neighbors. That gave us peace of mind that the house is in a safe area for the people that have seconds thoughts about how safe the area is. Everyone is very friendly. Amenities were on point. The communication with the host was exceptional, I would totally stay there again. My family enjoyed every minute of our stay. Totally recommend the place and the hosts.

Great place
Really nice 2 rooms house. Recently renovated it. We had everything we needed. Next time we will bring an air mattress because the sofa bed wasn't comfortable. Irka (property manager) was available and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Hi Maria, Thank you so much for your stay and review. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves! Regrets about the sofa bed. I don't think I've ever slept on one that is comfortable. There should have been a futon mattress in the master bedroom, either on the side of the closet or the upper cabinet for more cushion. I'll make sure I add that information to the welcome packet. Wonderful home if you’re looking for a one bedroom, one bathroom house. The second bathroom didn’t work so we all shared the one bathroom. Overall great location and clean home.

Thanks so much for the review--you were great guests. Good news! At the end if the summer rental season we're finishing the remodel for the kitchen, second bath and second bedroom, and will open the kitchen to flow into the family room. It's going to present a nice flow for guests. We will have to raise the rental rates then, so please book for the rest of the year now! See you again soon on the beach. Jason

Great location poor accommodation
I was quite disappointed by the kitchen and the second bedroom and second bath. A permanently attached trailer home with a really bad smell added the extra room, bathroom and kitchen. My kids were not able to use the second room. We couldn’t use the kitchen since the stove from the 60’s didn’t even light. We actually checked out to another place the very next morning but used the place for only beach access which is spectacular. This is a true one bedroom. Not very good for families. It’s a great location though and the owners kept the place clean.

Some people you just can't please. This review was given after the stay without ever calling the property manager to discuss a concern. I spoke with the reviewer after their stay to address the concerns, but could not seem to satisfy him. The guests befor and after him seemed to enjoy their stay. The value for the rental price is just hard to beat in this area. Three star accomodation in a five star location at a two-three star price! Please see the other reviews for my home....

It was a great house and perfect for vacation, it could use some improvements here and there.
It was a great base on location and the beach was a 10/10, however the second room is very small and the second bathroom is not to the standard of the rest of the house, it could use a lot of work. Other than that, it was a fun and worth it vacation!

Perfect location for our weekend getaway
The property was charming, well-maintained, and spacious. I spent a weekend here with another person and we had the most magical time by Ensenada. There are plenty of fun things to do close by, but if all else fails there’s always the gorgeous beach right behind the house. There were several amenities provided at this house that I would never have known I needed- I enjoyed being able to use the kitchen during my stay to cook breakfast. I also appreciated the owner’s/property manager’s clear communication which helped me to easily locate the house. I highly recommend this home for a couple people or small group, you will have a lovely vacation in this private beach house in Baja California.

Beautiful and private
The beach is right off the back porch and it is a large sandy beach with the finest sand you've ever felt. It is also very private with very few people on it at all, including weekends. The house itself is nice and furnished very well. There are only two bedrooms but two pullout beds in the living room.

Great Vacation, Great Area, Great Value
The place was just what we were looking for. A place right on the beach for a very reasonable price. Probably the best value I have ever had on a beach house. The great room was beautiful and the back deck was nice. All the appliances worked. The stove is older, but very functional. There were plenty of utensils and everything else you would need in a kitchen. Loved seeing the horses on the beach. The beach was almost empty for most of our 10 days there. Very private and secluded. Felt completely safe. Definitely going to vacation in the area again and bring our adult children to stay in a larger house. We had no problem getting into downtown Ensenada ,. took at most a half hour. We found that the Calimex supermarket where 23 splits off was the best of the markets we went to. They had the best produce and bakery of them all. We also went to Wal-Mart and Sorianos. A few suggestions for improvement. A rug in the bathroom would be nice and a few more towels. When we arrived there were ants just inside the front door, but we bought some bug spray and took care of them, but they probably need to be taken care of by a professional. All in all a great place to have a vacation.

Very good location!!
Location is awesome!!! right on the beach..... Amenities and service not so much.!!!! The day I arrived I had a very hard time locating the property manager to get the keys and directions since there is no street name. Finally when I was able to reach her after leaving a few voicemails and txt she wasn't very friendly and needed me to wait because she was out of town taking care of family... (which I understand but ..... there should be somebody available specially if you are waiting for guests).... When finally got in the house was disapointed by the patio furniture which was old, dirty, ripped cushions definetly not comfortable to enjoy the awesome view. Since the property manager wasn't very responive I decided to take some blankets and comfortable outside to make a chair comfy. There were some things I believe with a little investment will go a long way such as replacing old rusted silverware in the kitchen, replacing the water dispenser handler which was broken.. The day I left I txt the property manager again to let her know I was leaving and where I left the keys... nothing... no response.... Today 2 day after I left I started to get rude txts claiming a missing blanket.... (really??? )..... As I said the house is cute has a lot of potential to make it better with a little investment.... about the service definetly has room for improvement.

Great view but really only one bedroom and bath.
Views and oceanfront amazing. The second bedroom and kitchen were extremely small. The second bathroom was not working. The second bedroom is teeny tiny super hard bed and disgusting mattress. The property manager was very rude. Had to keep windows and doors open because smell was very bad.

I'm SO glad you had a great time Mary! I just checked the HomeAway website for the security deposit return options when the reservations are made through the wesbsite. There are two options, 7 and 14 days, and I've got the shortest option selected (7 days). If you'd like, on a future visit we can make payment through PayPal and I can manually enter the stay. That way I've got control on when your deposit is released. Best! Jason

Adorable beach Front
Had a fantastic time at this little place. Very cute, liked the decor, easy to get in and out, appreciated the extra jackets in the closet (no one ever thinks about Mexico getting cold...) Nice big shower, beautiful view and loved the little fire pit. Only booger for me was that I am a total cook and the kitchen was a little frustrating because you can't get hot water in it. Had to carry it from the shower. Also a concern if you have any germy-phobes because you can't get the grease off without boiling water on the stove and using it to rinse. But we spent one night on the deck with a little tent and that was fun. Roasted marshmallows out there too. Long walks, and the restaurants (La Buf and Mama Bears especially) made it easier to eat out than cook anyway. When I do this again I will not bring cooking stuff and plan to eat out a lot and pack my own stuff to eat from. Fireplace did not yet work but I can see that will be a project. Neighborhood dogs were friendly and my little guy had a blast making new friends and running down the beach. I'd actually like something like this long-term. Would be heavebn. Thank you.

Hi Gina, Thank you for your feedback. I had not realized the hot water wasn't working in the kitchen until I read your review! I apologize....I spoke with the Property Manager last week and that will be repaired this week; we're running a new line from the water heater. I also had not realized the wood stove was not installed in the living room. I purchased a new one and delivered it personally from San Diego a week or two before you arrived. I was told the specialist who installs them has been busy. The Manager is doing everything she can to get him out this coming week as well to complete the installation. beautiful, relaxing. the house was very functional and fit our needs perfect. the beach was clean and pretty much empty. our own private beach. it is located on a peninsula so waves are not big but water is clean. There is horse back riding on the beach and atv rentals, a little hard to find, but worth it. We just had a time to relax an decompress. I would recommend it highly. we will rent again.

lovely setting, relaxing stay
The home was located on a beautiful spit of land, about a 45 minute drive from Ensenada. Our son loved playing in the waves, and we were able to watch him from the porch!
