The room was clean, breakfast was better than most. Unfortunately, the checking in and front desk was subpar. I booked through Expedia, but there was an issue between Expedia paying the hotel with a virtual card. The hotel called me to deal with it and my first 20 minute call with Expedia to get ahold of the hotel to get it straightened out was disconnected. The second call to Expedia they spoke to the hotel to have them call the vitural card customer service line. I didn't feel this was something I needed to be invovled in. Something for the hotel and Expedia. We arrive at the hotel later that night and and have additional issues. When the hotel tried to run my credit card for incidentals, it was declined. 2nd card, declined. Sister in laws card, declined. They were obviously having issues with their cc system. We instead needed to put $100 in cash down on the room. No one carries cash anymore. It was pure luck that we had enough so we could check in at 9pm at night. It was frustrating.
