« We really liked location. It wasn't in the hub of all the restaurants and shops, but it was within easy walking distance or we could take a water taxi across the harbor. « We enjoyed staying at this site but we had difficulty with the address. I would recommend putting the number 67 on the outside of the mud room door, which would make it much easier to find the location A member of our party had difficulty sleeping on the pull out couch and recommended a thicker mattress. We also smelled cigarettes upon entry into the building but once the door was open for a short time the smell went away. I would definitely stay at this site again when I the area. »

« The house was lovely- clean, great ocean views, all the amenities you need! Kayaking from the property was wonderful, but you need to watch the tide charts- you have a 2 hour window before high tide and 2 hours after high tide otherwise it would be very difficult to get in or out! There are rocks you need to climb over to get the kayaks in and out, but that is not uncommon. The only downside is the noise from the road! We found that you need to shut the windows in the Master Bedroom at night...

« The Spofford Inn (Inkwell Room) was beautiful and meticulously decorated with beautiful pieces to not only make the space modern and clean but keep the charm of the original building. The hosts were excellent at communicating and accommodating all our needs. It was is walking distance of a few restaurants and yummy ice cream shop. We were not in Bucksport very long but definitely enjoyed our stay. »
