Overall very nice, communication with the person in charge was excellent. My only complaint was the pool. It was not clean, full of bugs. The had skimmer was broken. We replaced it 25. And spent house cleaning it only to have the next morning more bugs. The dock by the boat also has a loose board could be a hazard. Nice home great kitchen!
The house was absolutely amazing and Dave and Kristi were great hosts! My kids had a blast swimming in the pool everyday and fishing off the dock in the backyard. The house is really close to a lot of fun things to do with family. We were able to do an early check in and any questions or concerns Dave was on the ball!
My family spent a relaxing long weekend at the Cape Coral house. The house had everything we could need. The pool was refreshing. The first day we arrived there were manatees in the canal. Perfect stay.
We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect respite from all the activities. Relaxing at the pool and in the fully equipped house. Thanks Dave.
House and host were fabulous, clean fresh smelling linens, clean house, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, felt safe, close to grocery store. Small pet (Orca) was very happy to go on nice warm walks, verses -40 windchill. Thanks Dave!
Nice house. Well maintained. Has everything you need to cook and relax. Bikes, pool toys, bait buckets etc. Nice to have all the stuff you cant fly with already on site.
Dave was very responsive and accommodating to our needs; we arrived on Christmas evening and he replied immediately to our questions upon arrival. The living room, kitchen, and outdoor spaces are all nice especially on the dock by the canal. The pool area is a bit small and there were only two chaise lounges. The neighborhood, home, and furnishings are a bit dated, and the bathrooms (especially master) are very small for a medium to large family. There are plenty of toys, kayaks, and floats. The home is located a short drive to shopping areas including Publix, Walmart, Target etc.
We stayed in Cape Coral for a family Thanksgiving gathering. The home is super comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen is beautiful and well-stocked; there are lots of pots/pans and serving dishes for family dinners. We had a great stay and highly recommend St Somewhere for your getaway!
Baseball Tournament prompts Family Getaway turns into stuck to ride thru Hurricane Milton
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was amazing. Spacious, comfortable and inviting. Host took great care to make us feel at home with special welcome in favors, bikes, kayaks, pool favors and beach items. Entire home was lovely. Our departure date coincided with mandatory hurricane evacuation. After arriving to fly home on Monday, flight canceled. Dave graciously welcomed us back to the house where we were for the next 5 days! Without this we would have been completely stranded. All airports closed, all hotels booked. Together with Dave constantly on phone we readied the home for the hurricane. He had everything and more. It was an awful 36 hours. Dave was with us the entire way until we lost power for 23 hours. Thankfully all is well. The house stood like a castle. No damage at all. Dave was amazing. Because of him we had everything we could possibly need. Time to prepare, In the safest home possible. He never hesitated to be there (Iowa) for us. We have gained family from this experience. The house was perfect the host was a godsend.
We arrived a little early to the house and texted the property owner. He was quick to respond and granted us access about 45 minutes early. The house was well maintained and very accommodating. After settling in, we sat on the dock and listened to complete silence. This location was so peaceful and had all the comforts of home. We will 100% look to stay here again at least once a year. Everything you would need to be comfortable was provided. At one point, I needed scissors and low and behold they had some there. This was a great experience.
