We were very disappointed with our stay. When we arrived, we found a large water stain on the living room ceiling with plaster hanging down. This was not disclosed to us before check-in. When we contacted property management, they explained that there had been a rainstorm and they “hadn’t had a chance to fix it yet,” then asked if we wanted a contractor to come repair it while we were staying there. That should never have been put on guests to deal with during a vacation stay, and we should have been informed beforehand so we could decide whether to proceed with the rental.Beyond that, the home showed signs of significant deferred maintenance. The main sliding screen door to the backyard barely functioned properly. After reading prior reviews, we discovered another guest had reported the exact same issue nearly a year earlier, which strongly suggests it was never addressed.Another major issue was the constant construction noise directly behind the property. A large subdivision of townhomes is being built immediately beyond the backyard fence, something that was never disclosed in the listing or before arrival. From 8 a.m. until around 4 p.m. each day, including Saturday, there was nonstop hammering, loud machinery, backing-up truck beepers, and workers shouting. It made the backyard unusable for relaxing.
