Superbes vacances
Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances. La maison est top, la piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques. Les propriétaires Rita et son mari sont adorables. Je recommande vivement cette maison.

Fabulous Tuscan Holiday
This villa was everything and more than we could have hoped for! A fantastic first impression as you drive through the gates and up to the villa entrance. The beautiful garden full of flowers and herbs and the splendid pool with views of the hills beyond. The villa was so well equipped. Everything was there. We felt so at home. Very comfortable and grand interior and lovely bedrooms. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. we were so sorry to have to leave. Would love to return one day.

Wunderbarer Urlaub in der Toskana
Wir haben mit drei Generationen die Unterkunft gebucht und haben für jedes Alter einen Lieblingsplatz gefunden. Das wunderschöne Grundstück, der große Pool, der angrenzende Garten, die Terrasse, oder auf den Stühlen vor dem Haus, wo auch mittags etwas Wind ging. Die Lage ist gut und schön ruhig gelegen. Zum Einkaufen, Strand, Stadtbesichtigungen ist es nicht weit. Die Stadt Castiglione della Pescaia hat uns ihre schönsten Seiten gezeigt und war am Tag wie auch am Abend einen Besuch wert. Die Vermieterin Rita und ihr Mann waren super. Ob Tipps, Reservierung von Tischen im Restaurant oder auch Hilfe in allen Bereichen. Sie waren unkompliziert zu erreichen und reagierten immer in sehr kurzer Zeit. Wir haben unseren Urlaub genossen und können Sie Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Danke dafür!

Eine viel zu kurze Woche in der Toskana
Das Haus entspricht exakt den Beschreibungen. Die Lage eignet sich gut für einen Mix aus Städtetripp (30 min nach Massa Marittima, 1h nach Siena) und Strandurlaub (Strände in 20…30min Entfernung). Wunderschöner Garten. Äussert nette Gastgeber!

Wunderbarer Toskana Urlaub
Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern und deren Freunden verbracht. Dank fünf Schlafzimmern und vier Bädern gibt es auch ausreichend Platz. Die sehr große Außenterrasse sowie der große sehr schöne Pool laden zu einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt ein. Auch zum wunderschönen Strand ist es mit dem Auto nur eine 25 Minuten Fahrt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder hier hin.

Perfect place for relaxing holidays
Lovely place, very quiet suited. It seems like an older house, but with modern standards and a lot of space (we were 4 grownups and 5 children). Kitchen with everything needed. Outside a nice garden, a really big pool (much frequented cause of high temperatures) - we missed nothing. Rita and Guiseppe welcomed us. Best hosts you can imagine. For example Rita not only made reservations for restaurants, she also ordered a birthday cake for our son as a surprise...

Two week vacation in july
Great villa, suitable for two families with up to ten people. The house is great, the pool us awesome and the garden is huge. Enough pots and pans available. Downside are the muskitos in the morning and evening. But you can prepare for that!!! Hosts are great and have lots of great ideas for dinner and visits.

Sehr schönes Haus mitten in der Natur
Wir genossen unsere Frühlingsferien an diesem schönen Ort. Das Wetter hätte noch etwas Potential nach oben gehabt, aber trotzdem konnten wir die vielen wunderschönen Plätze im grossen und gut gepflegten Garten (Park) geniessen. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet, man kommt an und die Ferien beginnen sofort. Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen sind die Sanitär-Anlagen, welche teilweise in die Jahre gekommen sind. Das neu renovierte Badezimmer neben dem Wohnzimmer ist aber super...

Una casetta che è una meraviglia.
Abbiamo passato una settimana indimenticabile. Tutto è iniziato benissimo sin dall'inizio. Claudia, un'amica della propretaria, ci ha dato il benvenuto e ci ha spiegato perfettamente tutta la casa. Anch il cestino di benvenuto con le meravigliose leccornie è stata una bella sorpresa. La casa l'abbiamo trovata in perfette condizioni e pulitissima. In tutte le camere da letto c'erano asciugamani per casa e per la piscina in giardino c'era un armadio pieno d'asciugamani da poter prendere. Il salotto è molto spazioso e in cucina non manca proprio niente. Con i quattro bagni a disposizione, non abbiamo mai avuto tempi di attesa. Il giardino una meraviglia con una piscina grande e molte possibilità di sdraiarsi. Per il nostro cane il giardino e stato il paese delle meraviglie. Intorno alla casa molti posti coperti per poter godersi il sole che sorge fino a dei fantastici tramonti da mozzafiato. La casa vicinissima al mare di Castiglione della pescaia, alla città di Grosseto, a dei bei paesetti come Vetulonia e cè anche la possibilità di andare a provare il vino direttamente dai viticoltori. Non sarà certamente stata l'ultima che andremo in vacanze in questa meravigliosa casa. Grazie a Rita, Claudia e Giuseppe per l'ospitalità che abbiamo ricevuto. Un saluto dalla Svizzera. Luca

Beautiful property and house in a quiet location, short distance from beaches and charming towns
We've been traveling as two families (4 adults and 5 kids aged 10-16) for Summer vacation for many years and this year's trip to Il Peperoncino overall was the most relaxing and enjoyable. The large property is beautifully landscaped and offers numerous places to spend time as a group, but also to sneak away on your own with a book in the shade of olive trees. The very large pool was the main attraction for the kids, the adults loved the beautiful views, the atmosphere especially at dawn or dusk, as well as the walk up to Vetulonia. The owners Rita and Guisepppe were always most helpful and responsive - we couldn't have asked for nicer hosts.

Unsere Familie (8 Personen mit Kleinkind) genoss eine Woche Ferien im Peperoncino. Ein schönes, gepflegtes Haus mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet! Rita eine wunderbare Gastgeberin sehr hilfsbereit und mit ihren Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps eine grossartige Unterstützung!! Sie und ihr Team haben uns einen tollen Aufenthalt bereitet. Der grosse, schöne Garten mit Swimmingpool umgeben von den Olivenbäumen, Erholung pur!!! Vielen herzlichen Dank Rita!!! Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!!

Great house, great setting and great location!
We were a group of 11 adults and stayed at Peperoncino for two weeks in August. The house is ideal with all necessary facilities . Rooms are comfortable with three out of five being air conditioned, although the basement room could do with being more airy. With four bathrooms and outside shower queues were avoided and the kitchen and living spaces were well equipped and spacious. Outside facilities include an excellent swimming pool (deep enough for diving from the popular spring board) with pool house and plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The outside dining area has ample tables and barbeque/cooking equipment and the setting offers pleasant scenery. Several beaches and other places of interest are within easy reach . Rita and Giuseppe were welcoming, helpful and informative. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely go back!

Fabulous Family Accomodation
After a fair few days of searching we found this villa on the website. The moment we contacted Rita regarding this to the end of the holiday we were guided by her on every step of the way. This was our first visit to Tuscany with our three children. Rita and her team gave their personal touch to our stay and were easy to contact if we needed any advice. The accommodation was substantial for the five of us with a great pool, pool house, outdoor seating all around with olive, plum and other trees in the property. From deciding to chill out within the property to driving to nearby towns we had plenty of choice. We visited Lucca, Siena and Massa Maritima all of which were within a few hours drive from the property. Trains are available from the nearby station of Follonica which is half an hour drive from the villa. We took the train to visit Pisa which we enjoyed immensely. Parking can be a bit tricky in busy times but once again with Rita's guidance we were able to find them easily. The nearest beach is in Castiglione Della Pescaia, a 20 minute drive. Pre-booked beach umbrellas with the help of Rita helped us reach, park and enjoy our time on the beach which had excellent facilities including play area for children/adults. (€35.00 for one set!) The villa was equipped with everything families need including beach towels, all kitchen equipment (food processor, dish washer, washing machine). The pool is excellent and suited our children (youngest being 9) who are good swimmers. This may not suit small children and being outdoor was subject to some exposure to dirt, insects and as the cleaning is only once a week, we had to use the nets available to clean before we could use them. Our only trouble (as is expected for a very warm, dry place which had little rainfall recently) was to deal with bites from insects/ants and the constant buzzing around us in the shady parts of the villa especially close to the plum tree with insects being attracted by the fallen fruits. Plenty of insect repellents did not seem to work. The location of the villa ia a little remote and up a dirt road which is narrow. We recommend taking it extremely slow for the first time to avoid skids. We also recommend arriving during daylight hours to be able to find the property (Rita and her team are a great help though if you are a little stuck). These should certainly not stop one from choosing this brilliant place to relax and loose yourself in this fabulous part of Italy.

Mosquitoes have been an issue with the unusual warm summer we are having so it is important to close all nets so that they don't get into the house. The pool gets leaves in them as you are surrounded by nature. Nets are provided for this purpose but the skimmers do a great job in keeping the pool clean. We look forward to welcoming back again, in Maremma or Florence:-)

Toskana vom Feinsten
Ein beeindruckendes Domizil für jeden, der Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht. Die südliche Toskana ist einer der schönsten Teile der Toskana. Eines der schönsten Dinge war jeden abend den Sonnenuntergang zu geniessen. Entweder noch im Pool schwimmend oder mit einem Glas Wein auf der Veranda. Für Wanderer oder Radfahrer ist Il Peperoncino ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Die Nähe zum noch nicht vom Tourismus überannten Castiglione della Pescaia ist ideal, um jeden abend die excellente toskanische Küche zu geniessen. Rita, unsere Gastgeberin und Ihre "Stadthalterin" vor Ort Claudia haben sich extrem sorgfältig um uns gekümmert, was auch sehr hervorzuheben ist. Der einzige Punkt der uns als große Köche etwas beeinträchtigt hat war die etwas kleine Küche. Laut Rita wird sich das aber bis 2017 ändern. Der Poolbereich liegt weiter über den Standards die wir bisher hatten und jeder sollte einmal einen toskanische Sonnenuntergang schwimmend im Pool geniessen. Das hat was für sich!!! Der gesamte AUssenbereich ist sehr grosszügig angelegt (naja, wenn die Italiener feiern kommen da schon mal 20-30 Leute!) und bieten viele kleine Rückzugsmöglichkeiten zum Buchlesen oder Siestamachen. Il Peperonicino war unsere 12. Villa in der Toskana und gehört bei uns klar zu den besten zwei Domizilen, die wir bisher hatten.

il peperoncino
Claidia eine Freundin von Rita hat uns herzlich in Grilli empfangen und uns später in allen wichtigen Punkten instruiert. Nach ca. 3 km Fahrt erreichten wir das Haus "il peperoncino". Eine wunderbares Anwesen (typisch italienisch) mit einem sehr einladenden Pool, machte unsere Ferien zum Erlebnis. Alles war vorhanden und wir konnten in den 2 Wochen so richtig abschalten. Die Anlage liegt etwas erhöht inzwischen Feldern und Olivenbäumen. Auch Rita und Giuseppe lernten wir als sehr nette und hilfsbereite Menschen kennen. Wir können diese Oase nur weiter empfehlen, und hoffen bald wieder in die Toscana reisen zu können. Fam. Wolfisberg, Schweiz
