Great Stay

We stayed here for a bachelorette getaway and could not be happier with the space, proximity to the beach, and all the amenities provided in the kitchen. We absolutely loved that each room had their own bathroom. The beach was merely a 3 minute walk away. It is a beautiful house and everyone at the vacation rental agency was so friendly. Would love to come back!!!

While we weren't using the kitchen much there's a lot of visible wear, particularly with issues with drawers/cabinets not opening well. Additionally, the rug in the kitchen NEEDS a rubber mat underneath as it almost caused several falls. A large group staying a week would definitely benefit from a second refrigerator or beverage fridge somewhere in the house, however since we spent a lot of time out of the house it was perfectly fine for our group.

The property is lovely, just minutes from the ocean, and provides easy access to Mt Pleasant and downtown Charleston. We had 3 issues at the property: 1) The key didn't access the elevator door on the bottom level, so we were unable to load luggage or use it to open the door to access that level; 2) The pool was unclean and had lots of debris on the bottom. On Day 1, I contacted the office and was assured it would be cleaned by the pool guy. He came and turned the pump on, and also said it would be cleaned but it wasn't during our entire stay, therefore, we were unable to enjoy the pool; and 3) The exterior cushions on the outdoor furniture is white and dirty on all levels so we couldn't sit on them. If these 3 items weren't issues it would definitely have been 5's all around.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is perfect for a large group to gather together and still have separate spaces as desired. The WiFi and second living space were excellent for the remote work a couple of family members needed to do. One zoom call was done from a comfy deck couch - I think their colleagues were a bit jealous! The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you need, even a stepladder to reach the higher shelves! Access to the beach is an easy walk, especially with the wagon provided. The house is the cleanest rental we have ever enjoyed, despite some kitchen upholstery stains from previous tenants. The rooftop deck was amazing for watching the rare comet and stargazing! Bring some binoculars to see the Ravenel bridge. The one downside of the property is water intrusion and subsequent mold on the south facing windows. If you are very sensitive - this might not be the property for you until the homeowner has it remediated. East Island Rentals made communication very easy before and during our stay. I definitely recommend this property (with the disclaimer about mold allergens) and rental company to others!

Reviewer Comments: This home has a great reverse layout with a bathroom for each of the four bedrooms. The pool was convenient but on the smaller size. Elevator was helpful for older guests and bringing up luggage and groceries. The A/C was out for ~24 hours but the staff was helpful and attentive. Not a long walk to the beach and there was a wagon available for use that was helpful to carry coolers and chairs. The house overall had wear & tear that was not depicted in the pictures - very worn kitchen cabinets full of a lot of vases & unnecessary things & some drawers were hard to open, the cooktop exhaust fan was missing completely, two dining chairs broke because of wobbly legs & the couches were in need of a deep clean. One garage door did not work but could be lifted manually. The bunk bed had been reinforced but was still questionable, and one of the full beds was extremely loud with every movement & the lower king bedroom had basic ikea bed frame & daybed. We appreciated the number of towels and starting supplies available at the house. Overall a good week, but we wouldn’t stay at this property again.

We had a few hiccups with the washer & dryer not working but we let the office know. One room had an issue with the sheets on the bed, but we washed them and remade the bed. We let the office know as well.

There were many things we liked about the house and several things we didn't.Pros: Location is great. Kitchen was nice. Appliances were newer and functioned well. Home was spacious and upper balcony was phenomenal. Rental company was professional and did a fine job. Property was clean.Cons: This property is somewhat wore and in need of a refresh. The shower in the owner's suite is just sad. Broken wall tiles and cloudy glass door. There are broken cabinet doors, shelves and drawers sprinkled through out the house. Pool was nice but patio had some weeds growing through tile (several inches tall). Pool did leak. The pool was clean and we did use it but had to continually fill the pool in order for the filter to work.Overall everyone enjoyed the week. We would definitely go back to the area, rent in same neighborhood and use the rental company but not sure we would choose this house again.

Plenty of space to spread out and large spaces to gather together. Fully equipped kitchen, gas grill and great to have laundry access. Gorgeous sunsets from rooftop patio, plus second story covered porch when you want to get out of the sun or rain but still be outside. Easy check-in and out, and responsive property management. Easy walk to the beach, and short drive to anywhere. Only one note - some of the outdoor furniture on the rooftop and second story porch are quite worn and should be replaced (invest in some covers!) We still enjoyed the porches, but this place isn't cheap, so would expect better furniture out there since the porches are such a selling point. We'd stay here again though! Also - book direct with the property company - I don't know why I paid a VRBO fee when I dealt with the property company directly!

The Best Girls Weekend!

Loved this HOUSE!! Better than Pictures. Tons of room for 12 adult women to socialize, cook, relax, etc.... The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, beds were very comfortable with high end linens, and tons of out door furniture for everyone to have a seat to be together. Sunset and views amazing!!! 1 mile from grocery store. Would rent again for sure!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, but definitely needs some small fixes. Showers that don't drain, cold water and a toilet that barely flushed. There should also be a manual created for the house and not a paper that applies to all rentals unless it is providing restaurants (which were not given). Garbage cans were not in the garage as stated and a heat lamp would be nice as well.
