We had a wonderful stay in Chesapeake City! The property was very clean, well stocked, and perfect for our family. The kitchen is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the water, and everything is labeled so items are easy to find and put away. Just a short walk to dinner at Schaeferā€™s Canal House and the trail. Highly recommend!

After months of planning for a spectacular 40th wedding Anniversary celebration weekend, we found this property available for our lodging at the last minute. Family and friends were coming from bear and far and I was uncertain how all 11 of us might be accommodated but everything worked out better than fine. Breath taking scenery from the wall length windows overlooking a quiet river and walking trail. Inside there was plenty of space to gather together or to find your own quiet cozy spot. Everything a traveler needed - coffee, ironing board, scissors, can opener and other incidentals were there! And towels and linens galore. Plenty of parking. Everyone expressed the desire to return again for more family time together in a place that was peaceful, relaxing, refreshing and welcoming! Jane, youā€™re a gem! Thank you!

What a wonderful weekend on the water! This rental is in a great location for exploring Chesapeake City. It is located on the Schaefferā€™s side and in close proximity for walking. Just a short 3 minute-ish drive to the other side of town. The home is beautiful and well kept. The views are gorgeous, with a large deck to take it all in. The home had everything we needed for our group to enjoy a 40th birthday celebration during the hectic St.Patā€™s weekend. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely space with us! We would happily come back to this rental again!

We attended a wedding across the canal from this house at the Chesapeake Inn. It was very cool to see these really large ships go by as we sat on the deck. Very nice accommodations here! Jane was a great host!

This home was absolutely magnificent! Location and scenery were wonderful. Just so much to keep our attention and kept us in awe. This was a family trip with siblings and soooo many wonderful memories were made. We are older now and it means more than ever before. My wife and I booked Janeā€™s house for our wedding weekend in Chesapeake city. Jane allowed us to use her property for our wedding of 40 ppl. She could not have been nicer or more accommodating for this special occasion. She responded to all of our questions quickly and even made special offers to make our wedding weekend even more special. I cannot say enough nice things about Jane. The house and property were gorgeous in a really great location along the canal in Chesapeake city. The views from the kitchen and deck are special. I would highly recommend Jane and her house for any occasion. We cannot wait to revisit in the future as we celebrate future wedding anniversaryā€™s in Chesapeake city.

My family was in the area for a family reunion. We had an incredible stay at this property!! The home boasts breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay that are simply unmatched. Looking at the beautiful lights at night from the restaurant across the way were awesome and waking up to the serene water each morning was a highlight. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, it provided the perfect retreat for relaxation. The host was welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy beautiful surroundings!

Everything about the ā€œChesapeake City Overlookā€ is perfect. The name says it all, its location provides an amazing view of Chesapeake City South. From the twinkling lights of the CC Inn restaurant to the incredible array of sailboats, Tugs and ships that pass by your windows! The house itself is meticulously cleaned, with little goodies in the fridge and in baskets awaiting our arrival. The spaciousness of the house lends itself easily to a large group. Many comfy sitting areas inside and out. When we werenā€™t on outings, we adults socialized upstairs most of the time, while the ā€œyounger setā€ enjoyed the downstairs lounging area! Schaeferā€™s Canal House Restaurant, incredible food and a lively boating atmosphere, is a five minute walk! Weā€™ve stayed in many VRBOā€™s and never have we had so much helpful communications from our host. We had absolutely no problems or concerns but Jane made herself readily available if necessary! We fully recommend this home for a little weekend getaway or a weekā€™s vacation, a wonderful home away from home! Thank you Jane!!

Our son got married June 1. We had some guests coming from out of town and we rented this Airbnb to host a beautiful rehearsal dinner Friday night and breakfast after the wedding Sunday morning. I could not have been happier with how everything turned out. The house was beautiful. It was Very clean. We had a gorgeous dinner there And we were able to accommodate 30 People for a lovely dinner. The back deck is wonderful and relaxing as we watched all the different boats go by. The property manager Jane Is so friendly and kind.and. So accommodating! Mike, the guy that works on the houses was wonderful. They even lent us a large cooler for our drinks. I want to include pictures. Everyone loved it there and I canā€™t wait to come back. We plan on hosting our family reunions and holidays at this beautiful home. Iā€™ve stayed at a lot of Vacation Rentals and this is my favorite! Thank you again! Thereā€™s a lot of parking available, the entryway is gorgeous with the beautiful floor. Lots of space to spread out no one felt cramped at all. The beds are super comfortable. The yard is really really big so we really enjoyed sitting outside. At night the lights from the other side of the canal just looks so pretty. Itā€™s decorated so nicely also. We had an Italian dinner. It looked like a beautiful little Italian restaurant in there and it was perfect!

A wonderful place for all 6 of us adults to stay for a fun filled weekend for a family wedding. Beautifully done, well appointed house with an awesome view! It borders the canal trail, a five minute walk to the bike rental, and a great place (Schafferā€™s) for dinner and entertainment. Our hostess was prompt, available at just a text message away. I will seriously plan to book again if I return. Nothing in this house was left undone and there was nothing that we needed that we didnā€™t have. Thanks again Jane for a beautiful weekend! Tami

Two of my brothers and an old friend came down to the c&d canal trail for a long weekend and a lot of bicycle riding. This house was right on the trail. A great house with great views. We were also within walking distance of a very good seafood restaurant. It was a perfect weekend. As far as the house it had everything we needed. We wanted for nothing. When we arrived at the house there was chocolates and snacks waiting for us as well as beers and sodas in the fridge with a note to help ourselves. We have been going on bike trips since 2013 and we all agreed we have never stayed in a nicer house. We also agreed we have never dealt with a nicer more attentive person than Jane (house manager) she was amazing.
