GREAT SPOT
Great B&B. Stay in a few places when I visit the UK and this is the best. Reasonably priced, good parking, comfortable rooms, great location and friendly/helpful staff

Issues with bed bugs
The location and staff were excellent, really nice breakfast selection. Only issue we had is they still have issues with bed bugs when reported they moved my colleague to another room without hesitation . If they could resolve the bed bug situation I would highly recommend

DisgustingCustomer booked an garden annexe room with foliage outsideWas looking for a free upgrade which we gave him in the interest of hospitality he had a fly on his pillow because of the mild weather.This establishment has neve ever had an issue with beg bugs in any of our rooms.The less a customer pays the more they demand and I advise this customer to go elsewhere in the future.They are not welcome hereI am disgusted by his review which is very unfair

We cannot locate you on our booking system as having stayed at the Chester House Hotel and Guest HOUSE.As a result we need regard this as a scam review, as we are not aware of any complaints at the hotel , only praise as all the reviews are doing

Fantastic Hotel
From the check in to our departure the stay was first class. Laura checked us in and she made us feel very welcome. She explained everything about the hotel and breakfast etc. she was brilliant. The owner was also so friendly and he took us a tour of the guest house and it was immaculate, the details were fantastic. It’s a big well done for all his hard work. Our room was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. There were bottles of water and snacks and hot drinks to have and were replenished daily. The breakfast was varied and plentiful cereals, selection of cheeses and cold meats, full English breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurts and danish pastries. Perfect stay.

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-provided. Having a fridge was especially appreciated, as we could keep our drinks fresh. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We did not have a car and the buses were very frequent. We were able to eat well near the guest house in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.

Quiet, comfortable, pleasant staff, ample parking
Stayed for 3 nights and didn't need earplugs at all (very rare). The rooms are quite compact but comfortable with modern bathrooms and easy to use showers. Good lighting in the bedrooms so we could see to read - often difficult in hotels now. The receptionist was very helpful on eating places within a few minutes' walk. Excellent breakfast in the sister building across the car park. Guests can park on either site. Only slight drawback was having to have breakfast by 9.00 Mon to Fri. Easy walk into Chester, and less than 5 minutes' drive to get onto the motorways.

Fabulous - 4* boutique hotel quality
This fabulous guest house is really a 4* boutique hotel in terms of quality, attention to detail and comfort. I stayed there several times before the pandemic and returned recently. It was already really good, but theyve really upped their game, bought the hotel next door to expand, fully refurbished and kept the traditional look whilst making it modern and comfortable. Little touches, such as chocolate placed on the pillow, lovely laid out towels, free crisps/biscuits with tea/coffee, gluten free option for breakfast and a wide choice of foods for breakfast. And only 10 minute walk from Chester Station. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in Chester
Our stay was very nice. Clean rooms, great staff, the owner was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was top of line. It was a last minute reservation and it turned out to be the best choice for our stay in Chester. Didn't need a car, we could walk everywhere we wanted to be. Renovations are going on but it wasn't an inconvenience. Beautiful home.

Great hotel, under going some work but didn't affect our visit. Met by the host Ray, nothing too much trouble. A few niggles but dealt with swiftly. Great buffet breakfast served in sister hotel next door, The Chester Court.

Excellent stay at this guest house. Ray, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped and comfortable for everything needed for a lovely stay. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. Ideally located for visiting Chester too. 15 mins walk from City Centre and just a 5 minute walk from local shops. Would definitely stay there again

Great guest house!!
Lovely guest house Clean and lots of toiletries included. Towels provided and lots of extras i.e kettle, water , snacks biscuits,tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Ray and his staff are lovely and friendly. Breakfast amazing!! 10 mins away from zoo and Cheshire oaks on cat and 5/10 min walk into city centre.

Lovely bedroom, very clean and nice smell when went in. Everything I needed in the room. Bathroom a little small and would have preferred a slightly better shower, but nothing wrong with it, all very clean. As I was leaving before breakfast started, arrangements was made the night of arrival so at least I could have a continental breakfast. Well situated for the zoo, which I needed to get to early and easy to get to. Parked in road without any problems as car park looked a little difficult to negotiate due to another couple of car.

Quiet and well-run
The proprietor works hard on presentation. There is a wide choice for breakfast which one orders the evening before and which is additional to fruit, cereals and the like. Our superior room was spacious and clean. Guests have their own key to the front door. The bus stop opposite is served by 3 buses an hour going to Chester centre, but the next stop towards to the city is served by an extra 4 per hour. It is only about a mile so some will prefer walking. There is a pub opposite which serves inexpensive food with a daily combo offer and cheaper rates for over 60's.

B&B for Chester visit
Quiet, even though fully booked when we stayed. Very good breakfast, comfortable bed, reasonable sized room. Ray very helpful with visit ideas and suggestions for dinner. Only (minor) problem was parking very tight in some spaces. Plenty of on the street parking, although busy main road-could use quieter side street opposite instead.

Really clean rooms and comfy bed. Cooked beakfast you ordered the night before so when you came down in the morning you didn’t wait long at all. Service was very good and the man running it was very pleasant.

Large comfortable family room. Good facilities. Little extras like chocolates and toiletries provided. Lovely cooked breakfast (although herbs on grilled tomatoes and mushrooms may not be to everyone’s taste). Crackers at breakfast table another special touch.

Warm welcome in excellent location
Stayed for one night while moving house. Excellent location near train station/city centre. On main road but still quiet. Upgraded from a single to a double which was a nice bonus! Very comfy bed, excellent breakfast, welcoming host and speedy internet. Only grumble was I found the room a bit warm (it was during a cold snap, so understandable), but I was too tired to find a solution.
