Really nice hotel, good breakfast and the happy hour is nice, I had an issue with blood on the couch. The wait at the elevators is really really long (I waited 15 minutes and I took the stairs for 8th floors).
We stayed there with four kids and it was really easy, the kids loved the breakfast and the pre-lunch (5:00 pm to 7:30 pm). The employees were really kinds.
The location was fantastic, near everything.
The only things was related to the location of the bedroom at the back of the hotel and near the loading dock, trucks were there early and it was impossible to sleep, the noise was too load. Impossible to open the window as the room (308) was just near the kitchen exhaust.
Very well located, breakfast is free and has plentiful of options including omelette made on request. Location is very convenient lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel lobby is beautiful. Rooms are comfortable and spacious but feel outdated (very brown), you have to be aware that the location is a bit noisy (it is heart of Chicago so you will hear ambulances whatever the hotel in the area). Swimming pool is great. They say complementary housekeeping on request (but we could only have our beds made once during our 4 night stays even if I requested to have it done twice)
