We really loved our stay. The cottage was gorgeous and perfect for 6 people. The kitchen had everything you should need. The village itself was perfect - The Tite Inn is a great place for a drink, and the staff are really friendly. The Chadlington Quality Foods deli is just a minute's walk away, and is perfect for morning pastries, bacon from the butchers, and quality ready meals if you want to avoid cooking. We ordered pizza from the coffee shop opposite the cottage on Saturday night, it was fantastic. Note - book your slot during the day as it gets booked up. Chadlington as a location is perfect for getting to Burford, Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm and Farmer's Dog Pub, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Norton, and more.
The only thing that disappointed us was how cold the property was when we turned up. Bearing in mind it was averaging -2c outside, we turned up to a property that likely hadn't had the heating on the day before so it was really cold. We came with a baby and grandparents so this wasn't a great start, and it took us hours to get the house warm. I would suggest the property heating be turned on before guests arrival in such cold times of the year.
