„My sister and I had a girls weekend and loved our stay! We didn't check in until after 8pm so we couldn't see how gorgeous the property was until the next morning. The only negative thing about our stay was the cell service and wifi are spotty and I couldn't send text messages out unless I got lucky standing next to the window. “

„The place was very hollow you could hear every door slam you could hear conversations from other rooms. When we went into our place neither one of the or shall I say it three of the room phones? Did not work at all there's not a 24-hour staff to take late night calls people have questions or concerns or missing something from there room. there was some mold on top of the ceiling in the middle of the living room and room 18A! Did not get to experience the pool or hot tub just didn't have time ...

„Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, die Einrichtung praktisch und komfortabel. Das Frühstücksbuffet war, für amerikanische Verhältnisse, ausgezeichnet. Es wurden auch frisch zubereitete, warme Speisen angeboten - geniale Omeletts nach Wunsch! Schade, dass die Minibar nicht aufgefüllt war. Wir hätten abends gerne Getränke für die Kids vorgefunen. Aber generell ein Top-Hotel und sehr empfehlenswert!“

The plantation received its name because it was the location of Captain John Smith's "New Fort," built in 1609, located directly across the James River from the Jamestown colony. The fort was quickly abandoned due to dry rot and a rat infestation.[4] The same land was later given by Chief Powhatan to John Rolfe as a dowry for the hand of Pocahontas when Rolfe and Pocahontas married.
