« We had a lovely stay at Ella Retreat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and included a fridge, kettle, little cooktop and kitchen sink which was handy. We had one of the best breakfasts of our trip here - it was delicious and very generous with portions, with lots of options to choose from. Just look out for the monkeys who might pay you a visit with an eye for your food! Complimentary archery was fun, and we loved the rustic charm of the place. Please note that you can...

« We had an extremely enjoyable two-night stay at Ella Dream Catcher Resort. The hotel is easily accessible by car or tuk-tuk and is located about 10 minutes from the city center, offering a peaceful setting while still being close to town. The host was incredibly welcoming and always eager to help, which made our stay even more comfortable. He also prepared a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast that we really enjoyed. Our room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, featuring a balcony with a...

« I loved this hotel it's so good, cheap, comfortable rooms I got the one with balcony and it was amazing i even could see the sunrise in the morning. The staff is amazing and supportive I got everyday bottles of water and good breakfast and even tuk tuk to go everywhere. It's very quiet around and a great walk from the hotel to the main road. »

« The property didn’t have our booking so after 1/2h waiting around not knowing what was happening, they arranged another room somewhere else for us. The other hotel was much cheaper and not as nice so we agreed as long as we had a compensation for the inconvenience and price difference it was fine. The owner agreed to give us free dinner and breakfast. The next day they gave us the bill for both, plus asked us to pay for the new room threatening to call the police (but I had already paid...

« The property was going through renovations when we got there, there was dust everywhere, and we were the only ones there, Very disappointed that they failed to mention that the property is under construction before we got there, Took ages for the water to warm up, ended up basically having a very cold showers, The owners moved us to another property the next day, which was no better, lacked the amenities that were offered in the original itinerary, but they’d did compensate us with a free...

« Andra gäster hade fest och spelade hög musik sent in på natten. Trots att vi sade till personalen 3 gånger slutade inte musiken och vi fick knappt någon sömn. Frukosten var däremot ok. »

« This hotel was not in Expedia as per this property manager when we tried to checkin. I have not got refund yet. Please don’t book here and this hotel says that they don’t have any booking through Expedia. Expedia still researching for resolution. »

« The view is supreme. The room is very clean and quite well-appointed for the class of hotel. The location is very near to town just up the way to its hilltop perch. A good walk or short tuk tuk ride . The staff were friendly and helpful and the WiFi was good. I had reason to contact the manager and he responded quickly to sort out my issue. I highly recommend Mountjoy Ella. »
