Such a unique and memorable bed and breakfast! We stayed in the main bunkhouse, everything was clean and cozy and the owners were very friendly. We walked the property, met the chickens and goats and had the BEST breakfast on our way out! We will absolutely be back next time weâre in the area.
Our room was immaculately clean. And the hosts, Matt and Leanne were so welcoming and gracious. This was a great place to stay close to Suncadia and just minutes to the golf course. They have chickens, goats and turkeys and it was fun to see them and feed them apples. They had plenty to offer for breakfast including fresh eggs and muffins, their own honey and blueberry syrup. Our room in the main building was spacious. My only suggestion would be if they had a small table and chair in the room for putting on makeup. We took a short hike around the historic railroad trail out back and it was interesting to see the photos. I am usually not crazy about B&Bs because it can be uncomfortable with the owners hovering about, but this was really great -- more like an Inn. Matt and Leanne were so professional, kind and helpful.
Very relaxing and comfortable stay. Matt is a great cook and very knowledgeable about the area and willing to share and answer any questions. His wife Leanne and daughter were super. The animals were a treat and the railroad history and cabooses a great theme. This is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend it.
Got what is promised. They did their best to keep the train compartment theme as is, don't expect too fancy living. It was a good themed experience for a day. Hosts are pretty friendly as well.
Very clean and comfortable â slept great! The breakfast was amazing and plentiful. We loved walking around the grounds, meeting the chickens and goats and walking the historic trail loop. The owners are so attentive and friendly. The lobby is full of interesting memorabilia, books, and games. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
The property is very unique with it's history and the 4 caboose suites. Our stay was memorable and we hope to return next year. However, we were a bit disappointed in the breakfast (not everyone likes eggs) maybe a couple choices for hot food would be nice. Our caboose could have been cleaned a bit better and the grounds needed some attention also. Matt was a fantastic host, very friendly and loves to cook! We highly recommend the Iron Horse :)
I stayed in the bunkhouse, not a caboose. Room was very small but clean. No TV or little fridge. Breakfast was simple but not â cook to orderâ. Located right on the rail trail which was nice. Probably would not stay there again but it was not bad.
The owners of this establishment are wonderful people, warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious too. Having a cozy place to rest after 60 miles on the Palouse to Cascades trail Bikepacking was amazing. This place is a must do experience if youâre passing through Cle Elum on your adventures.
I had a wonderful stay at the Iron Horse Inn in Cle Elum. The old bunkhouse been beautifully rebuilt, keeping its historic charm while offering modern comfort. The husband-and-wife team who run it were incredibly kind and accommodating, making me feel right at home. A perfect mix of character, hospitality, and a peaceful settingâhighly recommend!
Matt and LeAnn are fabulous hosts. The common area was super comfortable to relax, the room was very clean and comfortable and the food was perfect. Super cute town- highly recommend!
Our experience was wonderful! The owners went above and beyond. We had to have an early checkout and they offered to send us with fresh muffins and scones since we had to miss breakfast service. Our stay in the Milwaukee caboose was a bucket list item for our train loving kiddo and couldn't have gone better!
Super cute bed and breakfast with great hosts. It was fun to stay in someplace with so much history, where you get to meet the owners and can really learn about the area. Great breakfast each morning with fresh eggs from the chickens. Really enjoyed our experience.
