We spent four days there and for two of those days we never left the chalet as we just relaxed, watched movies, fished from the dock (caught four different species of fish within an hour) and the best part of all was enjoyed the wood fired cedar hot tub. « Lots of options for sleeping (2 rooms main floor, 2 rooms in the lower level), and a beautiful view of a shallow lake. We appreciated how easy it was to find the home, which can be challenging at times with homes in northern Minnesota. The hosts have a well-stocked kitchen for pots, pans, and utensils. We really enjoyed the north woods appeal and the peaceful setting. »

« We enjoyed our weekend stay at this cute lil cabin. Even though we live in the area we wanted a getaway on a quiet lake to enjoy some boating, fishing and swimming and thats just what we got! Great trails to ride ATVs. The cabin reminded me of my grandparents cabin on the lake when I was little. The hosts were great with communicating! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet and serene area! »

« Snuggled amongst gorgeous trees with stunning views of the lake is the perfect place to stay with not only with your family but your friends entire family as well. Comfy beds, great gathering and eating spaces - we never felt crowded. Our dog loved every moment. Anything needed was already there. Great time was had by all enjoying the outdoor spaces along with the pool table, darts and shuffle board. Can't wait to stay again! »

« Wow this place was amazing! The cabin was amazing and right on the lake! We are big bird watchers and saw pelicans, swans, lions, osprey, and eagles. Several kinds of turtles including snappers. The fire pit area is lovely as is the deck facing the lake. I just wish we had more time to stay! But we definitely will come back and the hosts were very receptive to all of our questions! We stay at a lot of VRBO properties and this one earns an A+. »

« We love everything about the property. Everything was as stated and then some. Anything we may have forgotten they had. Kids and I had a great time. »

« Beautiful area with very rustic cabins. No TV here, but I regard that as a plus. A few things needed tending , like some window/door screens, but that was no big deal for us. Nice to have the kayaks Available to take out on Pokegama Lake. »

« The home is beautiful and is set on the hill of a wonderful lake. The hot tub was very clean and beds were super comfortable. The only reason I gave a 4/5 on the accuracy of the listing is that I didn’t see (or maybe just missed it) that there are many stairs to go up/down to get to the home from the car. We had one person with a broken foot (in a boot) and one person that had total reconstruction of their leg due to an accident… stairs just made it much more difficult. But, the once in, it was...

« Fishing and hiking was goal. First day beautiful early fall day about 73 and partly sunny. Caught a few bass and enjoyed the beautify lake that had little development and hope it stays that way! Cabin was perfect for location with so many other lakes to explore if bringing own boat, kayak or canoe. Hiking trails and Chippewa National Forest is awesome! »

« My sons and I had our first “Guys Weekend Fishing Trip”, and it was a great experience! The lake home is spacious and had everything we needed. We fished all weekend and caught some of the biggest fish we’ve ever caught in our lives. Pam and Dave are great hosts and we’re already planning our next visit. »
