ah, the freedom. I was on a 5 day road trek from Washington, D.C. to drop my son off to college, going through blue ridge parkway, dragons tail, natchez trace parkway going home to Austin. I happened to stay overnight at this park in my rental car. I got up and saw the amazing sunrise. so there!

We could not sleep. The hotel is all on the ground floor. Our room was close to the ice machine which proved to be a disaster as there was a lot of noise both late at night (till past midnight) and very early in the morning (from 4:30).
