We ended up staying at Hotel Polaris during a very stressful time after a major water leak displaced our family. I’m also recovering from surgery and needed ADA accommodations, so this could have been a difficult experience — but the staff made it so much easier for us.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful. They arranged early check-in, helped us stay in the same room for our extended visit, and regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Traveling with our son and our dog, Kaia, felt manageable because of how welcoming they were.
For accessibility needs, this hotel is excellent. It’s easy to navigate with wheeled walking aids, and the ADA tub-style room feels safe and thoughtfully designed. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has huge windows with amazing views.
We loved the Aviator Bar — the “Across the Universe” cocktail was a favorite — and Pamela’s restaurant is outstanding; every dish was fantastic. My husband and son also enjoyed the heated outdoor pool, which stays warm enough to swim in even when it’s freezing outside.
Our dog was treated like a VIP too — easy relief areas, homemade treats at the front desk, and plenty of space to relax by the window.
Most of all, every staff member we encountered was wonderful. Their kindness and care turned a really tough situation into something far more manageable. We can’t recommend Hotel Polaris enough and will absolutely suggest it to visiting family and friends.
