« John and Carol are wonderful hosts. It really reminds me of going up for family vacations in the 80's and 90's. Very laid back and helpful if any questions or needs arise. Beautiful Lodge and grounds. Great access to boat slips and great boat launch. Our cabin (daybreak) was literally right over the water. Woke up to waves lapping every morning. Lots for the kids to do and fishing is bar none »

« Beautiful home in a remote quiet area with lots of privacy. The lake is absolutely beautiful, crystal clear, with so many loons to see. My kids are older and we swam off the dock daily. If you had little kids swimming from shore, it may be too weedy, jumping off dock was no issue for us and provided hours of fun of our trip! « ….and that’s exactly what we did! Our stay was better than hoped in celebrating my birthday. My fiance took me to a place he described as majestic and that it is. We could have stayed in town but the true experience of Ely was here. The sunrise and sunset out our window was magnificent! Living of the needs in life made it that more memorable. We will definitely be heading North again! »

« Went to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Elbow Lake several times and knew what to expect. The cabin is "no frills" but that is part of the experience. It is right on the lakeshore with a deck literally a few feet from the water. The lake is quiet with very few boats making it easy to hear the frequent loon calls. It's a good kayak / canoe lake with a beautiful sand beach in front of the lodge for swimming. The on-site manger and his family are there for whatever you need....

« Overall our stay was pleasant. The one bathroom was difficult with children. We enjoyed fishing and swimming. The cabin was basic and had a definite woodsy feeling which was nice. It was easy to get to Ely and we enjoyed the area attractions the Wolf and Bear centers and the Mine. »
