« Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this charming and comfortable cottage. Driving on the beach was intimidating at first, but it added to the adventure and fun. We also loved using the kayaks and paddle boards to explore the canals and sound. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a unique way to experience the outer banks, without the crowds and traffic, this is it! We will definitely be back. »

« Had a great time at the beach but also at the house! Kids loved the pool and hut tub . Restaurant recommendations were really good. Wish the house was closer to the beach but with the trolley system it’s definitely easier. Thank you Melissa ! »

« I had originally rented the place for Fourth of July. Very last minute as our rental home was booked.. even more last minute ours canceled and Josie was gracious enough to allow our friends to stay there in lieu of us. I thought that was so kind of her to allow us to do that. I was told they thought it was very nice. Best of luck to you in the future. »

« Perfect stay at this lovely house in Carova Beach. We loved the deck safely providing a place for our golden doodle to play, kitchen with most everything needed to make delicious meals, comfy furniture and beds, nice deck overlooking the ocean and beautiful sunrises, horses in the yard, and our first experience watching baby sea turtles heading to the ocean. What a beautiful time we have had in a beautiful house. Thank you!!! »

« We had a great stay here at the Sandy Toes. J-P and Lori communicated well and provided quick assistance. Close beach access with nearby activities for kids. Although they only listed a wagon…there is an umbrella and coolers. We left our boogie boards for the next guest. (: highly recommend booking your stay here. Thanks for hosting us! »

« This house is just as pictured! Beautifully maintained and has all the extras you could possibly need for an incredible beach trip! There were enough kayaks for our family of 5 to go out for the day too. We loved seeing the horses visit daily. The screened in deck was great for morning coffee and watching the horses. The downstairs deck is perfect for enjoying meals and hanging out after a day at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at this house!! »

« This house, this location, was all a slice of heaven. We had a blast staying here. The house was so cozy and welcoming with the decor and live plants. Felt like home away from home. There was so much to do. Horse sightings, kayaking, fishing, beaching it, water trampoline, hot tub, games, cornhole… was a special, quality time filled vacation. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back next year! Oh… and the ice machine! Never knew I needed that in my life! »

« Great house 3 blocks and an easy drive onto the beach. Home was clean and exactly what we were expecting for a group of three couples (parents and two adult children with partners). We had a small issue and Diana was very quick and responsive, having it repaired within an hour. Would definitely recommend! »

« This lovely home suited our needs well as we gathered to celebrate our matriarch's 80th birthday. It is spacious with comfortable bedrooms and open gathering spaces. The outdoor porches on every level are fantastic. The neighborhood is small and easy to navigate. The proximity to the beach and to stores is ideal. We were very happy, and our questions were answered in a timely, friendly manner.The home needs attention to a number of minor details, which wouldn't be worth mentioning except there...
