Perfect Beach Getaway with Pool and Game Room!We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! Everything was as described—if not better. The home was clean, well-maintained, and just a short drive from the beach.The private pool was a highlight—perfect for relaxing—and the game room kept both kids and adults entertained. There's no AC, but once we got both fans working and opened the garage doors (after a bit of troubleshooting), a nice breeze came through.The house was spacious, comfortable, and fully stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were super comfy, and the outdoor space was great for morning coffee or evening wind-downs. I especially appreciated that all rooms are on one level—great for our toddler since we didn’t have to worry about stairs.I also enjoyed morning runs around the quiet neighborhood—four loops was about 1.5 miles.One downside was the slow response time from the hosts. Other reviews had set higher expectations in that area. We eventually resolved a couple minor issues (garage fan and door) ourselves, but better communication would’ve helped.Still, you can tell the hosts put care into creating a welcoming space. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for a fun, relaxing beach getaway with great amenities!

Port A Vaca

Second trip to Port A. Family enjoyed the house and the pool. Easy to get to the beach by car.House was as advertised. Small inconveniences: no gas for grill, and game room is pretty hot with no AC.We would stay again.

I had my doubts when we arrived… am familiar with port A and never stayed over on that side… very nice dwelling… backs up to a nature reserve… not the gulf but nice… the game room with ping pong was fabulous with all of us… beds were good… kitchen well appointed… the locks on the gates were broken… anyway I ended up feeling woukd stay there again next summer!!

Lovely vacation

We enjoyed the house and the layout of the bedrooms. It was nice having a. Pool but it was our mistake not knowing it wasn't heated, so felt like a polar plunge this time of year. There is a wonderful community pool close by that was a little warmer to make swimming tolerable. We liked the game room.

Great getaway

The pool was a perfect size for swimming. The game garage was an excellent compliment. Bedrooms and bathrooms had plenty of room for relaxing. Everything I needed for cooking in kitchen.

A fantastic getaway experience!

By far this was one of the best rental stays we’ve have ever had. My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and the experience was outstanding! The house was so clean and stocked with essentials we felt right at home. My kids loved the game room and all the options they provided. The pool was very clean and loved how close it was to sitting area for our family to be around. I would highly recommend this location to any family or couple looking for a phenomenal experience and a getaway unlike any other. We definitely look forward to future rentals at this location!

Long weekend getaway

Great place and location! Very clean and plenty of room for 11 of us. Great kitchen and a great working AC. Pool was perfect size. I will say mosquito spray is needed during summer time all over Port A, they attack and don’t stop. Game room came in handy to kill time with the kids. Would stay here again.

Perfect family spot

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house with a view. We loved sitting on the deck watching the barges go by and watching the birds. The pool was great and I think my kids lived in it, loving it more than the beach, which is super close by the way. Great communication and super easy check out process. Definitely added to the relaxation and comfort of our trip. Plenty of room for our 2 families. Definitely recommend.

Great place

The house was clean and the pictures do it justice. We had 10 of us there and never felt cramped or crowded. We could not use the pool as much as we would like, the bugs were awful. The house backs up to the lagoon side, so there is a lot of overgrown vegetation and still water. Our first morning there, the pool had 100s of bugs in it and the kids would not go on it. A message was sent to the management company and the pool cleaners were out within a few hours. They came back a second time during our stay and the pool was more usable. I will not rent on that side of the island again. I will rent from the management company again. They were prompt in addressing the pool concern and everything else was exactly as advertised.

The Ideal Beach House

We stayed for three nights/four days and had a great time in the home and the pool. We had some A/C troubles, but the host was very responsive and got a tech out as quick as possible. The location was perfect, the home was equipped with games, kitchen tools, plenty of pool towels, and was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend, and we can't wait to go back!

Wonderful home

We came into town for my graduation and I wanted a house for myself and family to stay. I didn’t mind the drive for Corpus because Port A is much nicer and beachy. The kids loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the game room. We went to the local fish market and had a fish and shrimp fry. The beach is very close and the house sits on the bay. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of parking.

Sandy S’mores and PortA for the win!

What an amazing PortA bay house Sandy S’mores is…our absolute favorite on Mustang Island. The location is perfect, stunning views of wildlife/shallow water bay landscapes. Close proximity to the birding center and wildlife boardwalk. Beautiful home with very modern designs/decor. We love the double primary suites. We will be back very often!!!

Amazing Property

There were some hiccups but they got resolved in a timely manner. We had an amazing time with kids and grandkids. This is a beautiful home and the pool was great. We enjoyed our stay and would differently stay here again.

Family Trip

We will definitely be staying here again. The property was very nice. Short distance to the beach. The house was cozy. The only complaint we had was the refrigerator smelt awful. (Like fish) We tried cleaning it with Lysol wipes it didn't help. . So our food smelt like fish. Overall we would recommend this property to our friends.
