Très agréable et reposant
De nombreuses activités sont proposées par le lodge. Nous avons appris à faire de la pêche à la mouche, ce qui était assez incongrue et top ! Possibilité de faire des tours en vais dans les environs. Et de nombreux petits animaux se baladent autour des cottages, Comme des wombats, des possums et des walibis.

Nice but overrated,no air conditioning 29°C in roo
Hotel seems overrated to me. Rooms are nice but would need a refresh. There is no air conditioning, at this level of price this is not acceptable, it was up to 29°C in my room, never below 25 (stayed end of January). Most of the personnel is nice. Site is exceptional, very close to Cradle Mountain. Bar is nice. Apart from these few negative points, I spent an unforgettable moment in this magnificent region.

Super endroit
Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits début septembre et avons été enchantés par l'endroit. Le chalet principal où se trouvent la réception ( où l'accueil est toujours charmant ), et les 2 restaurants est très chaleureux. Le snack Bar & Bistro est très bien pour le midi ou un petit dîner à la cool, quant au restaurant à la carte ( où il est conseillé de réserver ), vous pourrez déguster une fine cuisine aux accents locaux, un régal ! Le spa est super aussi, ils ont des cabines doubles pour les couples. Nous logions dans une cabine standard avec balcon, ce fut notre chambre préférée de tous le voyage ! Beaucoup d'espace, un petit feu très agréable pour se réchauffer après une journée sous la neige ... La salle de bain pourrait cependant être modernisée. En bref, une adresse formidable dans un endroit exceptionnel ! PS : vous êtes quasiment assurés de voir des wombats aux abords de l'hôtel

Had a fantastic stay at the Cradle Mountain Lodge. The service was fantastic, the breakfast was really good and the cabin was super comfortable, warm, cosy and clean. Really appreciated all the little extras too.

The rooms neither have the mobile network nor hotel wifi signals. Serious light pollution to the dark night atmosphere incurred by the lights inside the vacanted rooms without window curtains. No staff will willing to offer helping hands to you after their reception hours.

We really enjoyed the wild nature and animals in the hotel area, the path and the cabin in the facilities are well designed and maintained. The foods in the restaurant and bar/cafe were excellent. However we found that the service at the restaurant was so so, it may have been caused by a limited numbers of staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, the breakfast/dinner options and quality are better than several places I have stayed at and staff were excellent both really friendly and helpful. The nearby walks and wildlife were great and the hotel is conveniently located for accessing Cradle Mountain.

The property was great but the Tavern was pretty terrible. There were 4 of us. Meals came out at different times, and one meal did not come out at all. We had to ask twice before we got it. Service was terrible, tables were not cleared, yet staff were laughing and mucking around. The Highlander restaurant was excellent.

The stay in a wooden lodge was simply divine for my wife and I. The scenery from the balcony was amazing and peaceful, we saw so much native wildlife just walking around the lodge grounds too. Will stay again!

Perfectly located to easy walking tracks and lots of wildlife. The tavern was great but a bit disappointed in the meal at the restaurant. The duck was not tasty and dry. Everyone else had excellent meals. The Morton Bay bugs looked amazing and tasted great.

Beautiful mountain resort in sublime Cradle Mountain. Dining options good for a couple nights very well presented. Staff members were all very nice and helpful even retrieved my phone I left behind at table for me. No doubt best option to stay for hiking and ranger park bus entry.

Wombats & wallabies feeding wild in hotel grounds
Wombats and wallabies feeding wild in the hotel grounds - perfect! Enchanted Walk (one of the top 60 short Tasmanian walks) starts and ends in the hotel grounds. Room was great with a balcony overlooking the watering hole where the wombats and wallabies were feeding. Room was clean, comfortable, and included everything we needed. Food in the hotel bar was great and catered for gluten-free, as did the breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the morning.

Breakfast was amazing. There was GF bread with a separate toaster!!! Thank you Peppers. But the cereal near the GF bread was not labeled and when I asked if it was GF, they didn’t know. The Pencil Pine Chalet was a bit small for three adults and quite expensive at $750 a night.

This resort doesn’t quite have the level of service for the price, but the accommodations are clean and nice. Overall you are paying for the convenience of being in the National Park and there aren’t many other options.

We hadn’t done our research and the resort was not quite what we expected. The accommodation was clean but basic. There are no TVs or Wi-Fi , which is fine if you are prepared. The food in the Tavern was surprisingly good and service especially reception was excellent. Be prepared for hiking and cold weather even in the height of summer. During our stay the hot tubs weren’t available at the spa. Overall it was a good experience as the outside areas, walks and nature were exceptional. The service was good and breakfast ok but it was only ok for value for money.

Stayed 2 nights in a cabin. The cabin looked to be recently renovated and was in great condition, the gas log fire worked a treat and the animals at dusk around the grounds make this place special.

Amazing location, nice cosy mountain vibe. Lovely breakfast. The cabins are well equipped and feel luxe inside despite the school camp exterior. Well situated within walking distance of the shuttle stop. A lovely treat, would stay again.

Fantastic property - has everything you need in an amazing location. Clean and comfortable. All staff were amazing. Breakfast is solid. Food at the restaurant is average and overpriced but if you read the reviews, you know that before you go and you wont be disappointed.

Nice location but not good value for money as accommodation is tired and no air conditioning in cabins so not good in summer but in winter OK as gas fire in room. Main Fine Dining was disappointing the Duck was over cooked and the side dish arrived at the end of the meal. The saving grace was Alex who had good wine knowledge and gave us a complementary liquor at the end of the meal to make up for the poor service. However, the alternative casual restaurant was good value and I would recommend dining there for all meals. The main issue was that the hotel mistakenly billed my Amex for $15,340.75 (for two days stay) the day prior to my arrival, advised me of the mistake and said they had had it reversed it but on my return to NZ I discovered that it had not been reversed , hopefully that will be sorted out today !
