„Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this charming and comfortable cottage. Driving on the beach was intimidating at first, but it added to the adventure and fun. We also loved using the kayaks and paddle boards to explore the canals and sound. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a unique way to experience the outer banks, without the crowds and traffic, this is it! We will definitely be back. “

„I stayed here for the weekend with my mom and older sister for a family reunion. The place was better than what we expected. Nice secluded area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Very last minute as our rental home was booked.. even more last minute ours canceled and Josie was gracious enough to allow our friends to stay there in lieu of us. „Perfect stay at this lovely house in Carova Beach. We loved the deck safely providing a place for our golden doodle to play, kitchen with most everything needed to make delicious meals, comfy furniture and beds, nice deck overlooking the ocean and beautiful sunrises, horses in the yard, and our first experience watching baby sea turtles heading to the ocean. What a beautiful time we have had in a beautiful house. Thank you!!!“

„We had a great stay here at the Sandy Toes. J-P and Lori communicated well and provided quick assistance. Close beach access with nearby activities for kids. „This house is just as pictured! Beautifully maintained and has all the extras you could possibly need for an incredible beach trip! There were enough kayaks for our family of 5 to go out for the day too. We loved seeing the horses visit daily. The screened in deck was great for morning coffee and watching the horses. The downstairs deck is perfect for enjoying meals and hanging out after a day at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at this house!! “

„Great property- had everything we needed. Close to downtown Duck, yet far enough away where we weren’t in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Easy access to Corolla and points South. Located on a private street with access to the beach, a quick 5 minute walk. The pool was a great escape when we needed a break from the hot sand. The house was clean and had all the amenities we could need!“

„We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The home was perfect for the four of us and was equipped with everything we needed. I didn’t note the bathroom details on the listing, if it was there, but one of the bathrooms is a separate room downstairs. This wasn’t a problem for us but could be for some. I would definitely recommend staying here. The house is adorable and the views are beautiful!“

„This house, this location, was all a slice of heaven. We had a blast staying here. The house was so cozy and welcoming with the decor and live plants. Felt like home away from home. There was so much to do. Horse sightings, kayaking, fishing, beaching it, water trampoline, hot tub, games, cornhole… was a special, quality time filled vacation. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back next year! Oh… and the ice machine! Never knew I needed that in my life! “

"The location is beautiful especially with the priveate beach access. Also the main building l9kks nice and well maintained. Our room was in one of the side buildings. There as soon as you leave the room itself it feels a bit dirty and worn down. The doors and walls in the hallway have bumps and scratches. The carpet is torn and has stains. But the worst are the stair cases. The windows are covered with spider webs and dead bugs. All of this could be avoided easily and would lead to a better impression."
