I recently traveled to host my sister's bridal shower, planning to prepare most of the food items overnight for transfer to the venue. With limited time for decorating, I had rented a beautiful home. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find the floors in a filthy state. The host had requested that shoes be removed in the home, but the floors were so dirty that they stuck to your feet. The home also had a strong, unpleasant odor, which was caused by the non-functional refrigerator that was leaking water. Food had been left in the hot, non-working refrigerator and microwave, and dishes were only partially washed. The sheets on the bed were also contaminated with hair and crumbs. When I attempted to wash the sheets, the dryer produced a loud, high-pitched noise, indicating a potential malfunction. Moreover, there was exposed wiring in the main shower. I contacted the host, who claimed to be unaware of these issues, despite a previous review raising similar concerns. I sent photographs of the issues to the host and contacted Vrbo. Unfortunately, the customer service I received was unsatisfactory, offering only a 100 credit towards my next stay and allowing the host to handle the complaint at her discretion, despite having access to our entire conversation in the app inbox.
