« Cannot beat this location. The private beach was just incredible. We came with two dogs who enjoyed going for a swim each morning. The kids loved hanging out on the beach all day. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful. When we arrived the first night the lights were on and music was gently playing. Thoughtful touches that were very much appreciated. We could not have hoped for a better experience. »

« The cottage was what we wanted somewhere quiet but not too far from where we were going to. It was clean, instructions were detailed and easy to follow. We woke to birds and the back of the cottage was a wooded area. Our host was quickly responsive to communication. »

« Gorgeous location on the Great Wicomico!! Beautiful home with both a rustic feel and lovely modern additions. We brought our boat and the cove on Cole’s Creek was well protected with deep water. Property grounds were so nice, lots of space, and gorgeous view! The owner was super supportive and very helpful with recommendations in the area. Highly recommend!! »

« This is a great place to kayak and get away from city noise! You hear only the wildlife, hunting dogs raised by the neighbor, and a few fishing boats. The house is well stocked, a back up of paper supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels would be helpful. We spent the majority of our time on the screened-in porch in the rocking chairs and at the picnic table - amazing! « Our stay was great! The host gave us all the information we needed, and the property was amazing. We spent plenty of time talking and reading out on the water while enjoying the view. This property is quiet and fairly secluded but also doesn't feel far from food and entertainment. We loved our stay and would recommend this location to anyone! »

« The home was exactly as described. Just pack a bag and everything else is there. Fully equipped property in a quiet location. The only thing I will add is the master bed was smaller than desired, otherwise everything was perfect! We would love to return at another time when the temps are warmer. »

« We had a nice, comfortable stay in Mathews. Our daughter graduated from USCG BM A School in Yorktown, about 35min from this property. She stayed one night with us, along with my husband, my father in law, two teens and two dogs. The house is very dog friendly with supplies and a big yard. Clean, comfortable place to hang out! Awesome communication with host! Great breakfast at Howard-Dooley Cafe just a few minutes away. »

« Creek Retreat is a beautiful and peaceful getaway! I really appreciate the little details that made it such a great stay (snacks, fresh eggs, toiletries, toys, games, and linens/towels).
