One Week Stay in June 2024

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our one disappointment was that we were not given the code to get our car through the gate to enter the property the evening we arrived. There was a phone at the gate but it did not work properly. I had to call the after hours number and wait a short time for a return call. Otherwise our condo was very nice and the location was great. The on site staff was very helpful. The beach was, of course, beautiful.

Annual Weekly Memorial Day Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Third year in a row to stay in this unit and we were not disappointed. The unit was clean and had the necessary amenities we needed to function throughout our stay. The appliances and air conditioner worked fine, which is extremely important. Our family staying in the unit next to ours was not as fortunate. The larger bathroom shower had been updated with a glass door. The only suggestions I could make would be to replace the mattresses in both bedrooms. They were not comfortable at all.

Memorial Day Week Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Unit B1302. The unit was spacious, clean and had nice proximity to the beach. Having a water tub outside the front door to rinse sand from feet was appreciated. However, there were a few annoying aspects that need addressing by the owner/mgmt. The stove top burners cycle off (completely for a few minutes) and then back on for no reason making it difficult to prepare a meal. The dryer is extremely loud and very inefficient even after cleaning the filter after each use with small loads. Bedroom sliding closet doors (queen bedroom) were off the rails upon arrival and not functional. Attempts to fix myself were unsuccessful. Other improvement suggestions - remove large patio table/chairs and replace with more comfortable seating (beautiful view from balcony but cramp and uncomfortable seating), replace bedroom carpeting with hard flooring. Supplied cookware was plentiful but skillets need replacing. Again, enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Silver Dunes.

Beach Cottage Getaway

Reviewer Comments: Very pleased with the stay in B1302. The unit has been updated with beautiful beach cottage furnishings. Silver Dunes properties are always clean and the staff onsite is amazing. Only two negatives to this property would be the palm tree in the front living room window blocks the view of the beach but the kitchen window and balcony make up for it :). The kitchen cabinets need to be updated there are white but the doors do not close all the way. The kitchen stove was a new electric stove and it did not work properly. Not sure what was the cause we but took an hour to warm up chicken nuggets in the oven and the burners ontop would get hot then they would shut off or cool down. Very frustrating!!!!

This was our worst of our 16 winters at Silver Dunes.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Drapes were discolored from mold and mildew. Odor from the drapes was overpowering Kitchen cupboards contained black mold. Oven didn't work properly, Rugs were dirty and needed to be cleaned. Condensation was excessive. Dryer vent needed cleaning. However,front office, housekeeping, and maintenance were outstanding & attentive to all of our frustrations and needs. Late in our stay we received a new stove, removed the drapes, clean the cupboards and the dryer and got us a de-humidifer. I would recommend Silver Dunes to a friend but not this unit under these conditions

Everything was perfect, clean and just like it was pictured. My favorite spot was the soft chair on the balcony....I was there every morning with coffee. My only complaint was the TV in the living room was a smart tv, but we could not access any features (Netflex) to enter our own information. There were a lot of times in the evening we would have like to turn on movies for the kids

Great week at Silver Dunes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying at the "Beach Cottage" at Silver Dunes. We had a wonderful week. The condo is nicely updated and furnished. All appliances were in good working order and it was very clean upon arrival. The location is perfect because from the balcony, there is a view of the courtyard, beach and swimming pool area. It is also located close to the beach access, which we enjoyed very much. The other advantage of Silver Dunes is the beach! Since Silver Dunes is not a "high rise", therefore, the space on the beach area was much more roomy during peak season than the other high rises along the strip. The availability to rent beach chairs and umbrellas for the week from George was a nice amenity as well.
