« A typical English country pub with a friendly aura, professional staff, spotlessly clean and a good array of beers. We stayed one night, the room was on the smaller size but well equipped. Being a pub bed and breakfast you have to accept noise to eleven but thereafter it was so peaceful until morning chorus. The full English breakfast was delicious and the fish and chips the previous night was also of a high standard. Recommendable. »

« Such a lovely setting and charming friendly staff but the hotel itself is in serious need of a refurb. The bed in our room was worn out with uncomfortable springs sticking through and a metal ridge all the way round. The pillows were rocks. The duvet was summer weight so it was cold(this is February). The shower room needs work with a falling off foot board to the shower and years of grime around the bottom. There were coffee stains on the walls and drawer fronts to the desk. The mai....

« Arriving around midnight after a long drive I was initially thankful there was someone there to open the door. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. My expectations were pretty low, all I wanted was a hot drink, a wash and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately there were no drink-making facilities, no towels, no pillows on the bed and only a dirty bar of soap with a previous guests whiskers stuck into it. I tried to use the room phone to contact reception but there were no instructions on how to...
