„Amazing stay! This is a gorgeous cottage with no detail overlooked. Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The backyard is such an awesome surprise with a pergola, outside dining, fire pit and outdoor furniture. You will truly feel like you are staying in a home and not a rental. Two adults and one pup-child enjoyed every minute of our wonderful stay!“

„Captain Ron is absolutely the most wonderful host. It is an older boat with a retro 70s style! That is where the charm is for me! Any issues with being an older boat are way out-weighed by the charm of the boat, the beautiful natural area and a wonderful and interesting host! Sitting on the front of that boat, looking out across the water, the rest of the world melts away! I would say if you are a larger sized person, you would have difficulty getting up and down the stairs to the different ...

„ Perfect place for my daughter sleepover birthday. The pictures online didn't do any justice. The home was peaceful, and location was close to the park, and stores. Communication was wonderful between me and the host. Check in and check out was simple and easy. Will definitely be back“

„Very quiet, although we were initially and then sporadically met with the sound of gunshots during our stay. But the house was well sound proofed, so we weren't bothered while we were inside. The porch was fantastic, and the lake was great for swimming. “

„This is a great, well appointed property in an easy to access location. The home was clean and neat, though we’d recommend fewer air fresheners as those aggravated some allergies. The front porch is great for morning coffee, and the quaint backyard was a lovely place for dinner. The home has everything you need; we’ll definitely consider staying again if we are in the area!“

„Great spot one of the nicest spots I’ve stayed in. 20 minutes from Richmond great restaurants in the area. Super clean right near the river James. If we ever go back to that area again, I will definitely look to stay at this house.“

„Our family had all gathered in Petersburg to lay one of our family members to rest in the community they grew up in. None of us lived in Petersburg so we opted to find a place large enough to hold our entire family. The place is most suitable for adults and there are stairs to get to any of the bedrooms or bathrooms so be sure you can walk up and down stairs. “

„Karla was a great host. Always super responsive to our questions. The house is all brand new inside and impeccably clean, well stocked and very comfortable!! I would recommend this house to any family or group. We would definitely stay there again. Cher W. “

„We were longtime residents of RVA and relocated and now come back 3-4 times a year to visit friends and family. This is the best short term rental that we have come across. Photos on website were very accurate to what we found in the house, clean, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and a great location for our needs. (Our old house is less than a mile away) This will be our go to spot for future trips.“

„We had a real enjoyable time, and everything was as advertised. I enjoyed walking down to the river, and we sat on the porch for beautiful sunsets. The cabin was nice and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was extremely hot outside during our stay. Thank you so much for everything!“
